Men, what is family leadership?
Do you believe in it?
Women, do you want to be lead?
Do you believe in it?

As a female, I would prefer to be lead by a stronger man.

Strength can be decided by what people want in their own way! Maybe wisdom can be a ideal, but simply having rippling pecs and looking gorgeous can be the kind of strength people desire!

Matriarchy and Patriarchy - is there even a halfway point? hmm.. maybe it's dependent on the roots of the relationship.

NO, I don't believe in it, I definitely feel family should be run by committee.

Each partner brings strengths and weaknesses, and may take the lead in different situations, but for the most part all things should be equal.

Shot the soda out of my nose. Women have always led. They just make the men believe that they are the leaders. laugh laugh laugh

What I meant, strength is a subject with a wide spectrum. We grow learning our own likes and bias towards others about variations in ideals

leading a family, would be something men are seemingly expected to do. women can do it too!

I agree with this statement and I think we need to change the perception. You make a family together and you should maintain it together equally.

Now to the part most men want to avoid...that also means dividing up household chores, including child rearing...equally. Especially if both spouses work.

Still, if you have a stay at home spouse and children, when you get home it is time to relieve them from their parental duties. I am sure they will need a break. I'm...really....very...sure....

I agree. It should basically be 50/50, but in some situations one is better to handle it than the other. For instance, if I had a daughter and she got to that certain age where things are..... changing.... I'll pass that matter on to the other half. Now if the car or something around the house is broken, I got that!

ummmm lemme think on this one
I was married to a conservative christian man
we had very defined traditional gender roles
he was head of household
I was stay at home mommy

I think this can work if the man leads by good example
unfortunately many are weak and tend to abuse this position of authority

I believe two minds are better than one
mom and dad or can think together on issues and come up with
best possible solution

and as kids get older they should have a vote

There's a fine line between leading and tyranny.
