I am calm and steady and awesome and I would like the same in my partner. No unpredictable mood swings in my man. I've seen enough of that!!

A healthy mix of all 4 adjectives would be ideal...

A healthy mix of all 4 adjectives would be ideal... I agree with Tilly. I'm still young enough to where unpredictable has some appeal. Why not be a little crazy and spontaneous? |

Calm and steady.

Calm and steady or unpredictable and impulsive? which are you
Both, neither, all, none? It depends on their perspective. To some people I will be calm and steady compared to their experience. Maybe their dad was a meth head, maybe they just graduated from college with another degree and were around a bunch of hyper frat kids. To others I may seem unpredictable and impulsive. Maybe they're an accountant, or communication just isn't clear. which would u prefer in a long-term relationship?
Depends? I would prefer someone with far more depth and ability? A lot of people want to be the "calm and steady" type, they want to be perceived as that type, it's important to their image, but it's mostly to mask fear and for a sense of control, a facade, and anything that threatens that is attacked, or threatens to turn them into someone unpredictable and impulsive as a means to restore order. Some people want to be seen as the unpredictable and impulsive type. Maybe they fear getting older, so they want to act more like a kid, and see that as a route to doing so, so they act impulsive and unpredictable just for the sake of acting unpredictable and impulsive regardless of the consequences, rather than because it's part of who they are and therefore has limits. |

Calm and steady with a dash of unpredictable impulsiveness.

I generally try to avoid the Looney Tunes section. Though a wackadoo occasionally manages to sneak through the screening process.
I prefer calm and steady... |

I find it peculiar that to some 'unpredictable' and 'impulsive' equal mood swings?
Maybe something from the past, accusations? I know my ex loved to throw that kind of stuff at me whenever it suited him, but since he was the nutjob, not me, I don't value that conviction much, if at all. It was just a tool to try and knock me. Impulsive and unpredictable to me has more to do with personality. Maybe they can be summed up with "spontaneous". Which to me has nothing much to do with mood swings. As far as I'm concerned, someone can be very stable/steady, yet be impulsive and unpredictable (at times) as well. |

^ Don't be so defensive, babe. I wasn't talking about you. Lol I know... I wasn't defensive either, just got me thinking that if ppl think A + B equal mood swings, it says something about them, as in: why do they jump to that conclusion? Sorry for being confusing, I've spent the afternoon in a crystal shop, so I'm slightly 'spiritual' at the mo. I usually save that for spiritual fora, lol. Not to worry, I'll get back to our li'l campfire with the marshmallows and the hunky chained up dude. I hope you took good care of him while I was out? (And left something for me to play with tonight!) |
