Absolutely people need to educate themselves on who they are talking with. I am in a LDR and it takes work, to keep it going, to keep it real and not a fantasy...Would I have wished he would have been closer definitely !!!! It is what it is though and we deal with it.

I couldn't do a long distance relationship. I'm a very affectionate and sexual person, so I need that physical closeness, a few days a week. We're all different, so it shouldn't matter anyway. Even if we just hug. I'd rather know that I can see him every week, because living far from me, would have it's limits. Good luck though, to people who CAN be more tolerant of it. It takes a lot of hard work I imagine. I'm just not prepared to put myself through anymore torture. I don't think I'd have the patience.

I did a long distance before. Well we lived together but then were separated for a year. As in other side of the world so couldn't even visit separated. We are married now. It can work but can be very trying. Though I think it is easier if it didn't start long distance.

what do y'all think about long distance relationships ??? would you do it ? have you done it ? how did that work out for you ? I have no problem with them myself, i think it gives you both a chance to really get to know each other before meeting... I've messaged awhile with some folk and made some nice virtual friends that way, but it didn't occur to me (or them I guess) to try to take it any further because it is not realistic

I was once in a long distance relationship for 7 yrs, and it was great! the anticipation of seeing each other again only proved to add to the excitement of being together again! yes, I would do it again too, hey!

the biggest way to get an LDR to succeed is to have a firm plan in place to make the distance evaporate

Most of them are scammers Yes some are scammer but there are some genuine guys too, i'd defo make sure we skyped just to be sure they weren't a catfish Lol well said
