I watched it today after the school run. I have to say i am disappointed. The sex was tame (for someone who was a few stone lighter when she last had some) and they rushed through it like they didn't have enough time. I was looking forward to this film and it has disappointed me beyond belief. I'm sorry I'm so miffed but the way I feel is when your just about to get it on with someone and you find out they have a one inch. It's just not gonna get the job done. who here liked the film?

I should have gone to the woman round the corner that does bootlegs where someone always blocks the screen with there head or starts coughing. It cost 2 pound but I still wouldn't have had my money's worth. What a load of ****

I haven't seen "Fifty Shades" though, regrettably, I did read a few paragraphs of the first book. Awful. Bad plot, with bad writing, based on another bad story (Twilight).
From what I've heard from others who disliked the "Fifty Shades" movie, a much better alternative is the 2002 film "Secretary" featuring James Spader and Maggie Gyllenhaal (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0274812/). I haven't seen it, but intend to. |

who here liked the film?
I liked going to see the film. When I went, the theater was mostly filled with teenage girls that kept giggling and shifting uncomfortably. That was worth the ticket price. Watching who came to see it and how they behaved during it. The sex was tame
What else could it be? They have to get a rating that will allow it to be shown in theaters. They have to limit it so it's not a porn. They have to do it in a way that it can eventually be shown on HBO or Lifetime and still have content. The book was made to make money. The film was made to make money. It's not art. It has no social relevance. It's not even a decent story. It's not anything other than a vehicle to titillate in order to get people to give up some cash. For a movie, things have to be tame in order to get as wide an audience as possible to come try it out. The movie has to be worse than the book so people who see the movie listen to the complainers and then go buy the book so they can be like the "informed" people complaining. I'm so miffed but the way I feel is when your just about to get it on with someone and you find out they have a one inch. It's just not gonna get the job done
So are you now going to go back and read the book and see how it's different? Uh oh, maybe you need to buy a new book. Or are you going to get the second book to see what happens next, if maybe next time the sex will be good? Uh oh, more book sales. Are you going to see the sequel to see if they improve it or keep doing bad things? Even waiting for netflix or redbox? That's still money in their pocket. Are you going to go online to forums and talk about it? Uh oh, free advertising getting people to shell out some more cash. Everything is according to plan. |

still have not seen it
things that the people maniacally run to (it can be a movie, a book, a new trend of food/drink) repel me. i am someone who hated chocolate for years just because people were too mad of it lol. i will probably watch it when the rush for this movie slows down. |

Then why haven't you watched it yet? I think the rush died down within a month of it being in cinema ... Not that you missed anything btw. Waste of time. There were a few good things in it, but not many. The Secretary wasn't a whole lot better. Could've been about an hour shorter too. I almost past out of boredom watching it. Also doesn't give a very good impression of what a BDSM relationship is like. If that's what you're looking for, you better read Cherice Sinclair's novels on the subject. Good for many a cold shower and they will give you the insight in what it all entails. Neither movie does this. . . |

that's not what the movie was about
his pleasure didn't come from harming her at all, it just came from being in control in fact, the only 'beating' was some swats on her behind that she ASKED for (literally) and had control to stop |
