Why is it that people on here can't just be honest.... Pretend to be "perfect" play with your heart and then all of a sudden come up with - can you lend me money? I lost my phone, can you buy me one so I can call you? my kid is really sick, can you help me raise money?

On here, there are nice people, there are crazy people, there are funny people, there are honest people....then there are scammers, just the same as out there. You have to calibrate your BS- meter to figure out which is which, since it's easier to pretend online.

I can't speak for everyone, but I am honest. I think some people like to hide here and other dating sites because they are not talking face to face with someone, so only show one side of themselves. Also, I think you are talking about scammers who are not trying to be sincere and they are not looking for love.

You ever see a homeless person? They're dirty, disheveled, wearing torn and old and smelly clothing.
They're pretty honest.
They straight up tell you they want money.
They'll stop you in the street and ask for change.
Change! Dimes, nickels, whatever.
They may lie, but it's always about why they need your money, not that they need your money.
People avoid them like the plague.

You ever see a politician?
They're all over t.v., they're in shiny suits, they tell you what you want to hear, constantly lie to you, hide all sorts of things from you, and a lot, maybe most, leave office having become millionaires.
Not to mention, you also send a large chunk of your income to them every April 15th.
But people fawn all over them, give them tons of money just to speak, and look to them to have all sorts of answers and be able to help.


Why should anyone be honest?
There's no reward for it.
And what do mommies and daddies teach their kids?
That life is all about rewards.

"If you eat your vegetables, you can have dessert."
"If you keep quiet, we'll go to McDonald's."
"If you don't behave, you'll go to your room."
"If you're good this year, santa will bring you a present."
"If you get good grades, we'll celebrate/I'll give you 10 bucks."
"If you drink your milk, you'll grow up big and strong."
"If you're nice to people, they'll be nice to you."

There are trolls everywhere. I was almost to loose huge sum of money. This lady was talking to me about 6 months to pretend everything is OK then one fine day came to me asking to lend huge amount of money for her college admissions. I really had to understand the situation for about a month to figure out she is another troll just like any other clever trolls out there. She nearly broke my heart. In no circumstance, you would ask an online friend a huge money so as other good people. Its always hesitating feel. It's about time that we identify them and stay away from them. I learnt my lesson without loosing my hard earned money though.

I think society has kind of taught us that honesty is taboo. A lot of people (in my opinion) seem to think honesty is a weakness and have a limiting factor on how people see them. Also people who cant be honest with themselves will never be able to be completely honest with others.

I left it in my other pants along with Ferrari keys.

op because they are scamers and troll just looking for the nxt sucker who believes them ... because someone will ... now I did get scammed a couple of times but did not give them any $ nor give them the time of day ...when I felt they where a user and dishonest did not loose much ... just embarrass but better that ...then something else ... I thought ... happens on line nothing you can do about it ...

I was at gas.station in Detroit getting gas and noticed a very thin woman making her way around to every car talking to them when she got.to me she told me this horrific story of being single mom and her food stamps getting taken away and how her babies were starving and needed diapers. my own children were in car at time. I offered to walk.across street with her to walmart and buy her food and diapers but refused to give her cash and she sneered at me and stomped off to next car

Sounds like a scammer.... report and block.
