I am a goody goody. I got cornrow braids once. That was cool. I may post a pic if I ever find it.

I did shave my head but that was an early midlife crisis. I thought it would be symbolic to starting fresh in my life.

I must be one of them crows cause I  corn rows!

Where & who I grew up with and ran around with were country/farm 4-H kids; where the highlight of a night after a roping competition was a cooler of ice cold beers.
And sleeping bags under the stars and if it rained then the girls slept in one horse trailer on fresh hay and the guys either passed out in their sleeping bags in the rain/back of their pickup trucks if they could crawl up in there! There were 12 of us {6 girls/6 guys} we always had each others back; grade school clear through high school. College kind-of-split us apart and we flew our separate ways but we still stayed in touch; still do {the last of us 7 that are alive} but now the confessions have started to roll out among us of who had tried some marijuana - who had slept with whom - who got more DUI's then anyone else - who was married more then the rest of us! Seems my first 9month marriage {practice marriage I call it} and then my 2nd marriage when my son was 3 {he passed away in 2000} wasn't the worst of my crowd --- one of my best buddies-he's been married 5 times!!!

And yes; I did try Marijuana...one really horrid sun burn {fell asleep beside the pool on an over cast day for 2 solid hours}---I smoke my first 'REEFER' while sitting in a bath tub filled with some cold water to bring my body core temp down! shocked

smile2 My entire life is full of tiny little short-lived rebellions - status quo somehow equals dead in my eyes. The first, and my fondest, was as a timid li'l Catholic school, altar boy on Sunday, closet member of Led Zeppelin.

We'd practiced and put up with the threats of dire consequences should we screw it up, our school's first appearance at a multi-jurisdictional musical performance/showcase. Our little piece o'the pie was an old Folk standard...something about 'sail on the sloop John B, my grandfather and me.'

I hated it, but was the only accomplished guitarist in this 7th grade class and I had never performed live before and was dyin' to do it.

The day of the show, my acoustic 'mysteriously' got broken and I had to play my electric or we'd have no guitar.

While we were fooling around before the show, I met another guitarist and we traded licks back and forth and he said 'You oughta throw a solo in there.'

Long story short, I gave our chaperoning Penguins a collective heart attack and got a standing ovation from about 1500 people who weren't expecting that. Too much fun! drinker

Yup, a lot worse... at least you used the wrapper!

And dang was buying the darned things awkward way back when. Where I lived you had to ask for them and they were kept in a drawer, out of sight. frustrated
At least these days they're on the counter. Even you daren't ask, you can still point at them and say "Gimme a few dozen of these, please!" laugh

Rebel, rebel ...

Awwww, mannnn!
I thought this was going to be a forum about the hamburgler.
But I guess the title would have been "robble robble."

I always wanted to see a conversation between buck rogers robot twiki and the hamburgler:
"Robble robble."
"Biddy biddy biddy."
"Robble. Robble."
"Biddy biddy biddy."
"Robble! Robble!"
"Biddy biddy biddy."

How did you rebel? Or didn't you ... until you hit 30 ... 40 ... or 50?

I never rebelled.
Individual rebellion seemed pointless.
Better to deal with things as they are rather than push back against the wind or pretend to be a reed that can't be broken.
