I will speak to this since it is something I can relate to. I am married and come on this site. I was using this site since I was in college so 10 + years. A lot of the people that have been around that long may know me. It is just a place to come and chat and goof off. I myself like to debate and this is a good place to do that. They also have lots of non dating forums like sports, travel, computers, politics, etc that are all interesting.

We're not married but, I still come on here because of the people, and the fun, it's a great place to kill time when it's slow at work. She knows I'm on here, and can pop on and read posts, and since she was from here she knows most of the people I converse with.
As for the people looking to fill a void, yes that's sad, and they shouldn't be looking to fill a void, but trying to find out what's causing it. |

there is a theory that when you experience life with no hardship to overcome and no real problems in you life then you do not learn a really important life skill of being able to simply evaluate the situation and figure out what needs to be done. When you face challenges and through work and effort make that situation better - you get a real sense of success other than just making money. This is idea is lacking today- if it doesn't work - chuck it out |

Sometimes there are gaps that the married person cannot fill with their partner - the partner may not feel comfortable doing some things that the other person wants. In my case I am far more highly sexed than my wife and it physically uncomfortable for her to continue after a while. Meeting with other girls allows me to "scratch an itch" and allows us to continue with our relationship without getting hung up on the feelings that would be coiled up in both of us - me for being sexually unsatisfied and her for not being able to satisfy. It is a release for both of us.
