just was out on the Veranda overlooking my 1/4 acre property and noticed two Robins, male and female (husband and wife) picking for nesting materials. The female (wife) flew off and like a good husband, the male soon followed. So what makes you a good husband/wife?

I am a terrible husband

But I will answer any way. I think a good husband or wife can do all 3.

I was a freaking awesome husband..

... loyal faithful hardworking..
. attentive.. great communicator..
enjoyed housework.. and looking after the vehicles and landscaping..

... I was passionate... and very sexual..
.... I'm an awesome cook.. and I do the dishes as I'm cooking... I even lift up the burner plate and clean underneath that...lol.... ok I don't do laundry very well..lol.....
.. and I hate looking after the financial stuff..... which in hindsight..
probably not a good idea..lmao..

though I don't know how to do this without sounding like you are tooting your own horn

1.ex husband was and still is merchant marine that means gone out on boats six to eight months out of every twelve.

2 spent a lot of time in our marriage in day to day communication
I took care of all the bills, the kids, the pets, the house.

3.I did majority of cooking and all the cleaning, shopping and menu planning

4. I stayed home with our boys and postponed my degree and going full time into my career so that I was there for my family ( not saying this is the only choice just saying it was mine

5. I told my husband often how much I appreciated how hard he worked to put a roof over our head and food in our tummies and I love you was heard often coming out of my mouth



now i think its only fair I name a few less than admirable traits

1. fierce redheaded temper especially when the poop hit fan and he was out in middle of great lakes and I had to tackle it all on my own

2. I am often impatient and rather demanding

3. I like a clean house and detest clutter

4. if I think your argument is weak or based on bullcraparama I will probably say so

You keep on giving a damn about the other person, you take time out from thinking about yourself to think of their comfort and their health and just how the heck they are feeling.

You do NOT get your ego bruised too easily and then shut down.
