Topic: Would you ever consider a relationship.... | |
---|---|
with an identical version of yourself in your EXACT same CIRCUMSTANCES, assume everything else is equal, honest, loving, etc...i understand that everyone will have a tendency to say 'yes' because i'm the 'most honest' or 'most giving' etc...i've ever met...let's take that out of the equation and focus on CIRCUMSTANCES or PHYSICALITY alone.
For example, if you are a single mom living at home with your parents, would you even consider a single dad living at home with his parents? Same reasons on both sides. Or say for example, if you are over-weight yourself, do you even consider a person who is approximately the same as yourself? Just an interesting exercise i think...step back and ask yourself "would i date me?" Interesting question in my mind. |

Hey Issac I guess I am dating myself until I meet the right lady..Just kidding...I would have to say no because I think someone a little different from me would could bring some spark to my life.

That's a really good question, Isaac.
I've actually considered it before, and I honestly can't decide. One minute, I think "Sure, most definitely". Next minute..."No way in hell". Lol |

Whilst I like a woman with ambition, who can actually bring something to the table... There's no way in Hell, that I'd have a relationship with a workaholic. |

Probably yes...maybe because it's predictable on my part. But no..I would like someone different in some areas of our lives. Someone I could also learn and grow with as a person and as a couple. Bringing out the best in each other.

Of course I would date me! No kids, decent job, lives alone and very ambitious.

Nope, and since I wouldn't even consider dating myself. I know why I'll be a bachelor for a very long time.

Insightful question, but I think a rather impossible one...
For instance, there are plenty of men interested in a curvy woman, or more than curvy woman. I have yet to hear from a woman who's into curvy men, or more than ... Stay at home moms and stay at home dads probably aren't regarded the same way either... Neither is a grown woman staying with her parents and a grown man living with his parents. And so on and so forth... As for myself ... I got physical problems due to hyper-laxity and a neck-injury. Would I date a guy with the same problems... (apart from the fact that a guy wouldn't likely suffer from hyper-laxity as this is mostly caused by female hormones...) I rather not. Why not? It is easier/generally accepted that a woman is physically not as strong as a man, the other way not so much so. If I was to be stronger than my man, we would be in deep chit, lol. |
