Well, ya know, I never think about what to say.
Possibly because I am comfy with silences. I come from the school of thought..'If you have nothing to say..don't.' And I never run out of chatter :-) So, were I the type that did, I might say something like 'Let us pretend we have known each other 10 years.' This does not mean you can begin farting. |

I'm always more concerned with what NOT to talk about.. And what I shouldn't say.. What I don't want to hear.
1-I don't want to hear about your ex. 2- Don't ask me about money. 3-Don't ask me when I last had sex 4-Don't ask me if I want to party 5-Don't ask me if I have a sister for your friend... Aacch.....

I'm with both Soufie and SassyEuro.
I can usually chitchat with just about anyone. I have been there however with a date who didn't say anything much at all. Just "uhuh" and "oh". I mean, FFS! I don't mind listening to what I have to say, but after 15 minutes a monologue that should've been a dialogue becomes quite annoying. If I gotta do a monologue, I might just as well stay at home, lol. I mean, at least my cats reply, sometimes. Their "meow" and "prrrt" are more than what that guy gave me. |

 Small talk is usually finding out each others simple likes and finding common ground on which to converse on for a bit. At least for me it is. |
