Topic: Hilary Clinton for president? | |

I want to see a woman become president, but I'm not sure about her.

I believe she should go for it. We once said there would never be a black president and he probably was hoping for the best as far as how he would be treated once inside, but he made it through , the economy stopped freefalling and we have a foundation from which to build back up. I believe Hilary, being the first woman, will face similar historic scrutiny over everything she does or doesn't do,,,but having already been in that type of position for years and having been in the white house with another highly scrutinized president, I believe she will be prepared for it. Whether she will be the BEST candidate, depends completely on who else runs. The economy stopped freefalling? We have had out credit rating decline for the first time in history because of this jack a$$, we have watched one of the most ruthless terrorist organizations the world has ever seen take over a large portion of the middle east due to his cowardice and I'm not even going to bring up Benghazi or I'm just gonna get mad. Hillary wont win, not because she is a woman, but because she along with Obama have spent the last 6 years screwing up this country beyond repair. No one associated with the Fuhrer will get elected in the near future if again. I think that point was made CRYSTAL clear in the historic 2014 elections when a balance of power shifted like we haven't seen in over 100 years, including in Blue States! The Fuhrer has been a disaster for this country. |

I haven't seen a mention yet of anyone worth voting for Another Clinton or Bush?! You're crackin a funny......right? Dr Carson is the only one I have even considered so far and he has several policies I disagree with, but at least he supports bringing back the Constitution/Bill of Rights and ending Obozocare and Common Core But a President? Well, I guess if the current idiot can be POTUS anyone has a chance, even an illegal I think Dr. Carson is a good man, but not a good candidate or potential President. He is a one issue candidate, medical issues. His rise was due to Obama Case. As tragic as Obama Case is there are a lot of other major issues that need to be addressed and he just doesn't have the experience needed to become President. I think he should definitely hold a major position in the next administration like Secretary of HHS. |

Real Smear Politics...... the best opinion money can buy Ain't hard to win the Dem vote when they only have one horse in the race the voters will even consider And after the last 6 years, it shows Dems don't vote conscience, morals, truth, or ethics |

As for a woman being president, I wouldn't mind having Maggie Thatcher back here as our Prime Minister.
Even if it was just to sort out the bums that live off our welfare system and wipe out the savages of Isis. |

I think that point was made CRYSTAL clear in the historic 2014 elections when a balance of power shifted like we haven't seen in over 100 years, including in Blue States! The Fuhrer has been a disaster for this country. that happened back in 2011, when the freefall was at its end but the damage had been done this is 4 years later he was reelected TWICE,, congress saw the overhaul,,,there is a difference so back to my statement about the freefall unemployment rate(the one they have used for all presidents BEFORE, not some adjusted number to diminish the decrease) unemployment Jan 1, 2015 5.70% Jan 1, 2014 6.60% Jan 1, 2013 8.00% Jan 1, 2012 8.30% Jan 1, 2011 9.20% Jan 1, 2010 9.80% Jan 1, 2009 7.80% Jan 1, 2008 5.00% Jan 1, 2007 4.60% that's a rate that almost DOUBLED in TWO YEARS between 07 and 09, that's the FREEFALL,,,it increased again in 2010,,,before going BACK DOWN US DEFICIT(difference between the inflow and the outflow,,not to be confused with DEBT which is the accrual of all PREVIOUS deficits) 2007 $183.79 Billion Deficit 2008 $504.95 Billion Deficit 2009 $1559.6 Billion Deficit 2010 $1404.99 Billion Deficit 2011 $1367.37 Billion Deficit 2012 $1134.02 Billion Deficit 2013 $691.06 Billion Deficit 2014 $492 Billion Deficit AGAIN, the FREEFALL I speak of is a deficit that increased almost TEN FOLD between 2007 and 2009, before heading back down to 1/3 the amount job creation NOTICE THE FREEFALL OF JOB LOSS ? before 09... RECOVERY BABY!!! Get used to reading it be connected to President OBAMA |

Please explain why that chart, which ends almost 4 years ago, is relevant to Hillary being President. Pretty charts are unimpressive, can be easily manipulated (by not counting as unemployed those who have been out of work so long they stopped looking), and frankly, irrelevant to the qualifications or lack thereof of the person who was Secretary of State at the time.

Fair enough. I still don't see anything that qualifies her. I can think of some women I could support, but she's not one.
|
|
|

Im curious what counts as 'qualifying'?
she spent eight years at the side of one of our more successful presidents, she spent eight years as us senator and another four as secretary of state,, ,,,, |
|
|

What about her complete failure as Secretary of State? Benghazi, anyone? The "reset" with Russia? Having held the position doesn't mean she was good at it. Same with being a Senator. How many other Senators were there before she arrived and are still there? Are they qualified because of how long they have been there? First Lady? Really? That counts as a qualification? Does that mean every wife is qualified to take her husband's job someday? Just like the current President is unqualified. Bush was Governor of Texas. Clinton was Governor of Arkansas. Bush was head of the CIA and a businessman. Reagan was Governor of California. Carter was Governor of Georgia. They all ran something. Other than implementation of the most inept foreign policy in my memory, what has Hillary run?

Other than implementation of the most inept foreign policy in my memory, what has Hillary run? so , for you governors have more experience 'running' things than senators? governors must follow FEDERAL law,, so , to me anyhow, senators technically 'run' the governors I don't much trust businessmen, they look after their own interest and I'm not personally impressed with that particular qualification for a President. but its interesting to read another perspective on what 'qualifications' people look for |

So those who have been running the federal government for decades and have caused most of our issues are the ones we should trust to fix those issues? Maybe we should have the fox look into why the chickens have been disappearing.

So those who have been running the federal government for decades and have caused most of our issues are the ones we should trust to fix those issues? Maybe we should have the fox look into why the chickens have been disappearing. humans are humans we have enough greed in human beings some in politics and some in business, I just tend to think the business side is more likely to be about self interest,,,and self profit we also have those who work towards positive change |

So the people who actually create jobs are unqualified to make decisions about the economy because they make a profit? Tell you what. Go to your local coffee shop, fast food joint, store, whatever. Some "greedy" business owner employs those people. But watch the interactions. When the exchange of cash for product is made, who says "thank you?" Not the person who was exploited and got the raw end of the deal. Oh, wait! BOTH parties say it! Why? Because it was a mutually beneficial transaction. If capitalism is so horrible, why did the Soviet Union collapse?

Not the person who was exploited and got the raw end of the deal. Oh, wait! BOTH parties say it! Why? Because it was a mutually beneficial transaction. If capitalism is so horrible, why did the Soviet Union collapse? that's only one of many issues a president deals with, the economy our current happened to handle that part pretty well, in my opinion,,, without being a 'businessman' or governor bush, for his experience as governor,,, not so much a mom and pop type business, where the businessowner is working and saying 'thank you' is much less complicated than running a country,,, just saying,,, I never said capitalism was horrible I said people are greedy and the soviet union crumbled at the hands of such people,, |
|
|
|
And yet that mom & pop business is exactly how every major corporation started, so in principle, it's not really different. The difference is the size. Bill Gates started out in his garage. So he made billions along the way. That's good. It's not a zero - sum game. Under a true capitalist system, where markets are truly free instead of heavily regulated and without punitive tax rates, the tide rises and lifts all boats. But some prefer to sink the large boats as a means of making things equal. We are increasingly implementing Marxism. Marx was a theorist who never ran anything, so it sounded great. But when it was actually implemented, it failed. But "the right people" haven't tried it. There are no right people. It's a bad system. If it could work, it would have by now. Capitalism was working fine in this country until 100 years ago when it was sabotaged by Woodrow Wilson. Yet, we need more of what has failed? Where are those chickens? Better send the fox to find out!
And to say that the economy is only one issue is true, but using your logic that only politicians can handle politics, maybe being prior military should be a prerequisite? Well, never mind. People who have managed businesses are unfit to deal with the economy, so clearly veterans are unfit to deal with military issues. Perhaps having been involved in the federal government for more than 20 years should disqualify Hillary because what career politicians touch, they mess up. |
