Thinking how things go.. been wondering for years what the point is of my interest in English and knowledge of it. I don't have a use for it anymore in day to day life. But suddenly ppl start asking me to translate stuff. Not easy stuff either. Company stuff, serious documents. So I have to look up jargon etc. I now know a tap has an aerator. I didn't know. I used to just call out "Honey! The tap is dripping/leaking/doing funny things!"
Done a lot of translating last year as well, for a campsite. Translating safety regulations for a campsite, holy crap! Yesterday a friend asked me to translate a meditation from English to Dutch. That should be easy! Don't need to look up jargon, it's in my wheelhouse! She does want it to be an audio file though, so I'll have to look into recording properly. Another thing I need to do for soundhealing sessions. Seems like my life is coming together???
