Do other people find it harder to find dates the older you get .Think its easier when younger no commitments and most are still single .Now seem to get weirdos or ones with attachment issues . Any one else ?

For me, I think my standards at this point are much more exclusive than they were when I was younger.

Back then, as long as they 'loved' me, I thought that was enough. Trial and error taught me differently.

I definitely have had to go it alone long enough to realize I can and that I am fine by myself though I still haven't come to believe I am supposed to be by myself indefinitely.

That realization, replaced the idealistic search for a movie style romance I once had. I have more patience in accepting that it will just have to happen whenever it happens and not be in a rush or state of desperation to have it.

Loving myself and my family and having their love is enough for me not to be so quick to just settle for 'love'. I want compatibility to truly enjoy a life with someone and its harder to find that as a grown mother with children than it was a young girl with no obligations.

Yes msharmony i completely agree , we are independent with commitments and family so know exactly what we need is a lot harder to find .thanks for sharing .

I don't find it hard to find a date.
I do find it hard to find a date that I want to be on or want to see again.
things I was willing to accept in my 20s are definitely not the same in my 40s.

It isn't easy but with the right mind set it can be fun.

sure, looks are important..

Yes it dose get harder to date as u get older majority of the older women have tons of emotional baggage from a previous relationship or marriage they say that have moved on but they can't stop talking about how bad the ex was and a lot of older women want dominate the conversation after they have asked you "So tell me about yourself " a woman did that to me and I just got up and walked away with out saying anything lol

I've noticed, that as I get older, I get more picky. Not that my decisions are perfect. Sometimes I pick the wrong one. Sometimes, I disregard the right one, over what might seem like minor details in the long run.

One of these days, I'll get it right.

You make it sound like car dealing, by 'trading her in?' Some women do the same thing though? Personally myself, i'm happy with my lassie and don't want anyone else, younger, or older!
