just remember , America and the WORLD are two different things

systems of authority all over the world are different

here in America, the populace still has the wild west mentality, cowboys and Indians, cops and robbers

where cowboys are admired, you shoot first and ask questions later, and cops are heroes

most people are not corrupt,, but some are, and we are approaching a time when people finally realize cops are just people

and though not all are corrupt,, there are those who are

they aren't an automatic hero because of their uniform, nor can we automatically assume they are beyond corruption, or dishonesty

only their individual actions will tell us that,,,

the only place that "Wild-West"-Mentality ever existed is on the Hollywood Movie-sets!laugh

I dont believe it , I KNOW IT

here it everyday, in peoples conversations around me, AND on the media,,,

and the rioting, burning, looting and stealing would fall under the 'robbers' category

some want to be the big man/woman who stops the bad guy with a bullet,, some want to be the bad guy who escapes being stopped,,,

I didn't mention racist, did I?

my life doesn't revolve around media, the world is bigger than that so I cant send 'links' about what I personally experience,,, but, for example

anyway, today at work there was a water cooler conversation about someone wanting to get out their car and quote 'beat the crap' out of someone for cutting them off

yesterday, on family feud, a pastor was asked to name what you would do if a burglar was in the house,, he said shoot him

,,,,,,,probably hard to recognize when one has become desensitized,

I'm just curious MS, your in your bed sleeping and you wake up to realize that there is a intruder in your house.. would you try to talk some sense into the guy, get him to understand that what he is doing is wrong? would you pull a gun on him? Or who you be under your sheets calling 911 and praying that the trigger happy cops ( racist or not) are on their way.

I think you would be on 911 in a heartbeat

you are right, unless or until he was posing a physical THREAT,,(which involves him finding and confronting me),,,

I would be using 911 and remaining quiet, while looking for a way to retreat unnoticed if possible

and if not possible,, the gun would be used to scare him away, unless he decided to THREATEN us instead,,

Going back to what I said a month ago...its easy to bash cops.. very easy...when you don't need one.. but when you do.. they are the most important people in the world. And frankly you ( and everyone else) would care less about the person in that uniform and long as he or she, black or white, racist or not.. was coming in ( guns drawn) to save you and yours

2014-09-30 Kedra, David (26) Pennsylvania (Philadelphia) A state trooper was accidentally shot during a gun training exercise at the Montgomery County Public Safety Training Complex and later died.
[1]
2014-09-30 Williams, Randall (40) Wyoming (Casper) Two Casper Police officers and a Wyoming Highway Patrolman responded to a domestic dispute then shot and killed a man who they claim pointed two handguns at them. According to family, the man was intoxicated and took medications for mental illness.
[2]
2014-09-30 Darden, Javonta (20) Georgia (Athens) Police reported Darden and a colleague shot and wounded an ATF agent during “an undercover law enforcement operation.” Officers shot and killed Darden.[3]

The above are the 1st 3 entries on that list ( I didn't read any more).
A accident at a police firing range, a guy points 2 guns at cops and they shoot him and a guy shoots a ATF officer and is shot dead by the cops.

The disclaimer at the top of the list noted that these all were reported shootings as they have to be.It did not say that they were unjustified.

You would get a same type list if you wanted to know how many cops were shot.

for those who don't yet realize the brain can prove to it self, anything can be evil...

woe unto the unwise unknowing.

who prove many be evil, but of course, never them self, and incite the large and fire breathing dragon, that shall devour them self and many.

and then they run and cry, in fear and fright, crying this be unfair, and not right...

and the dragon answer back, not right in who's book of rules, before it eats them the self righteous hobbits...

but then these, never did quite seem to realize, how their own words were making all that happens to them self, happen.

and uh huh...

that would be the self righteous tattle tales, who think if they tell of all the wrongs they see, somehow this makes them self on the side of good.

and so untouchable.

hehehe...

oh how the naive little children do tell on all to make them self falsely feel more right, and more falsely protected.

over 1000 people were killed buy cops last year, while 14 police died in the line of duty...and one, as you pointed out, is the first on that list... nice odds, huh

Actually 126 Police died in the line of duty in 2014. And of the 1000 killed by police on the list that your posted how many were justifiable shootings and how many were not?

I mean, if you pull a gun and point it at police have you not made the first move? Or do they have to wait for you to take the first shot and hope that they miss, so you can then take your shot.if you shoot at police do they not have the right to shoot back.. to stop the threat?.

The first on the list was a Pa. State Trooper who it appears was accidently killed at a police gun training exercise.A tragic work place accident.

Of the first 3 on the list, 1 was a accidental work place shooting and the other 2 involved people pointing guns at cops or people shooting cops.
How many times is that repeated on the list?

No you don't have to post things for me to read.. who has time to read 1000 reports?

So I use what I use in business %. I read the 1st few reports and gauge it from there. 1st 3 appear to be justified ( or accidental) shootings. 3 out of 3. Which would translate into a very high % of the list also being justified.
