Topic: Would you be intimidated by a capable woman?? | |
---|---|
On the road.... when a fast car overtakes you and you find it is a woman and she is not even driving a sports car Being capable is never a bad thing. But the driving part does not indicate capability...only poor judgement and impatience. Few years back, I'm driving down a fairly desolate highway. Conditions were poor..snow and ice. A woman in an suv went burning by me. I thought "someone's in a hurry to meet Jesus". And hoped there weren't any children with her. Sure enough, a little later, I come around a bend, and she's in the ditch. Thankfully still on her wheels. I stopped, walked up and asked if she was ok.(while looking to see if she had kids..no,thankfully) I asked her if she learned anything from this. Holy hell, she went on a rant about stupid roads, stupid ice, blahblahblah. I said nothing more, hooked up tow rope, pulled her onto road, and sent her on her merry way. I saw her wedding ring, so I said a prayer for the poor husband that had to deal with that. And btw...if it had been a man driving, I wouldn't have been so nice. |

In the office.... when she is the one going up the corporate ladder instead of you On the road.... when a fast car overtakes you and you find it is a woman and she is not even driving a sports car In a trade.... if she is better with the hammer than you/ better at cars & repairs/ better at mechanics/ etc.. Do you allow this to affect your relationship, or will you not even consider a relationship? Or do you just prefer a woman who is totally dependent on others! |

Good anecdote. ..."Nodding in agreement".. ![]() Yeah, I agree... not only women do that, men does too! I know of some men who are devils behind the wheels..and forbid if anyone ever overtakes them!!! I once threatened to jump off a car cos' he was hellbent on catching up and overtaking that car. I was in the car and scared. And then other times, the children were in the car too. I like to drive fast, but am a careful person.....drive fast only on safe stretches, and only on roads I am familiar with. |

I call for help when that happens. |

I don't really look women who outclass me by far as a relationship potential. I assume it would be waste of their time and mine to try. But half the global population are women so- there should be enough choice on the same step of the ladder that I'm standing on.

Capable men never does have to worry. My mum's a strong woman too, but not as in brute strengh.... she is small and petite! But she brought us all up as my dad was never really around, working elsewhere. So, I do have some of her traits. (but no..... not good with the hammer, but good at supervising at construction sites, reading plans, and what nots!) |

op a long time ago I can only think of one women boss ... she did not like me although I tried to do every thing she asked of me ... and in my thinking I loved her boss lol he was really cool and older so about that time he took me under is wing and started showing me more to learn what I had to do ... he was a more understanding person with no ego ...so that meant I learn the job a lot faster and way better then under her ... would i not date anyone that did not know as much as I do with certain things ... all depends on what it was he did not know ... and what kind of attitude he had ... and Dodo_David lmao ... Mystical....I have had the fortune to have 2 bosses who taught me what I know now. No amount of tertiary education quite measures up to on hands training. And both were men....kind, understanding, patient and eager to impart their knowledge. I learn from them, and then taught my subordinates....I have trained quite a number of them, some who are 'non-technical' people! And they are the hardest to train. It all takes patience, but most important, they must be willing to learn. |
