It would not bother me at all.Almost every woman I have dated has been smart, whether at her occupation or life.

Now not all of us are handy with a tire iron or hammer, or even want to be. Hi Leigh waving flowers Maybe we don't all want to be strong career women either. Just because we can make a mean sandwich, yes mrhall we have established that you are very thirsty and hungry, like to sew or take pride in the value of caring domestically for a man, that automatically makes us weak, clingy, shy, unintelligent and irresponsible females? I agree with the gentleman that stated generalizations are not wise. I was an IT professional and primary bread winner for 21 years but I am done and would love to find a man that wants to do that. I prefer driving a 4x4 jeep very fast and offroad but when I go home my man will change the dang oil or take it to the garage and the kitchen is my domain so I dont think it's fair to classify all women one way. She is now officially done with rant.

Hi Tami....it is a lovely rant...!flowers flowerforyou!
I would be glad to take the backseat anytime, but sometimes circumstances do propel you to take the front seat. I gave up my career to attend to family and also to make way for the ego of my ex. Yes....I would love to say, I'm done....but it is a long road ahead for me yet. And with that said......don't you wish you could just drive as fast as you can down that long long road, and hopefully not meet any mishap, have a smooth but fast enjoyable drive!

Jacktrades....that is because you are smart and comfortable with yourself!

Ana flowerforyou flowerforyou flowerforyou How are you, Ana dear???

Yeah....see, this not only applies to the men, but also the women. I love learning from a capable woman, but have only come across one in my whole working life. She is the CEO of her group of companies, and her husband was just a manager. But he managed to hold the respect and stood his own. It doesn't matter.....whether it is a man or woman, as long as they are capable, knowledgeable and don't ill treat their subordinates.

hi ((((Ame)))) flowerforyou

we all have something to share in life. I love to learn and am not afraid to ask questions.
the question asks about being intimidated by a capable woman, but we will say person.
capable is a matter of definition, in this sense it seems to be about people with formal training. yet that doesn't make the uneducated less capable.
I think it's a matter of appreciating each person's talents.

Yes...not only the educated or uneducated, but also those good in their trade. Those handy with a hammer, a sewing machine, or in the kitchen as a chef, or whatever they do. You see, as a woman, I am not intimidated whether it is a capable man or woman, but for a man, it might be a different scenario. Especially if it is a partner....or prospective love interest. Someone already said it here in this thread....no, he would not pursue a relationship with someone who is.

But some don't mind, and they are the ones who have my respect.... like my ex-boss's husband! He held his own, and we worked along fine with him too. My daughter's accountant boss is a woman too, and the husband is the office manager.... it is getting common nowadays.
