Haven't been there myself but family members have. They said the falls were outstanding.. breathtaking. But they said the hotels were not the best..."cheap... cheesy.

Many wonderful things to see and visit if going to Niagara Falls Canada. Obviously it depends on what you enjoy doing.

Hotels are like any other city; you have cheap, medium and expensive rooms. Large Hotel chains right down my Clifton Hill and the falls itself and then other along the Niagara Parkway or along Luny's Lane/Highway 20.

Suggest mid to late spring early summer through to October. Depends on the weather and what your will to endure.

If you decide to go enjoy yourself.

If Niagara Falls is not expensive enough for you; then look at Queenston, or Niagara-On-The-Lake for a place to stay and dine. Then you can always travel 20 minutes to the Niagara Falls.

Honeymoon Capital is on the Canadian side! Or what was once considered the Honeymoon Capital!

I was there in the early eighties, looked about the same then too.
But the falls themselves are a wonder.

Oh and don't bother going to Buffalo, unless you're in the mood for some wings.

I did some research on going there. But after the research decided it would not be a good place to go! The area around the falls is not so nice.

It sucks! Save your money and go to dinner and a movie instead. Youll have a better time. The falls are really the only thing to see and you get spray from the falls when you get close enough to get a good view. Its not worth the hasle.

It depends on what you enjoy doing. Yes it was an industrial town in the 60's as its counter part on the U.S. of the boarder which still is all industriall along the Niagara River. The Canadia side of the Niagara River, from Fort Erie to Niagara-On-The-Lake is a municipal road for sight seeing.

When in Fort Erie you have 1700-1800 century fort one can visit the same as in Niagara-On-The-Lake. Which give a discription of the American-British wars, and life style for both sides during that period of time.

In Niagara Falls you have a variety of sights' one can visit: casiono, Marineland, botanical gardens, butterfly conservator, a couple water parks', helicopter rides for viewing the falls and the Niagara Gourge, number of golf courses, wine tasting tours, Maid of the Mist, Dufferin Island for swimming, etc. Niagara-On-The-Lake is a great place to take your partner or family for dinner and have some specialized events, or did.

I am not saying it is a location for all to vacation, but it does have it's own interesting sights. Like all small cities its building a tourist industry. It comes down to peoples' interest and what they enjoy doing with their free time. Many enjoy doing the similar things as they do when at home; only it is a different place in the world to see.
