I've always been a fan of the Italian jungle-cannibal flicks. This was Eli Roth's homage to that subgenre. Really enjoyed it.

I just watch a old movie Ghost Town ...and thought of the two songs Madonna sang and Adam Lambertboth really good songs but not in this movie lol butit had all scene of emotions that could run through you ... the music was good ... and even one part I saw a young picture of Betty Davis...she always had the elegance you needed to be a star in Hollywood ... she was awesome through the yrs ... which this had nothing to do with the movie lol except seeing her on a TV they had on ... crap that was a different movie think the name of that was changed to home for Thanksgiving ... and neither of these movies where scary ...

Fun movie. I liked the train setting. But the werewolves. Ugh. The only thing wolfish about them were their legs, otherwise some looked like Lord Of The Rings goblins, and others looked like deranged cave men.

Back to Back Re-Watched:
In the Blood of Gina Carano Salt of Angeline Jolie Both Movies kind of reminded me of this: Disciple Caine: Master, do we seek victory in contention? Master Kan: Seek rather not to contend. Caine: But shall we not then be defeated? Master Kan: We know that where there is no contention, there is neither defeat nor victory. The supple willow does not contend against the storm, yet it survives. Master Kan: Avoid, rather than check. Check, rather than hurt. Hurt, rather than maim. Maim, rather than kill. For all life is precious, nor can any be replaced. |

Tremors 5.
It was almost as crappy as 2, 3, and 4... Wait, I didn't see 3 and 4. Now I wish I could "unsee" 5. It's almost 2 hours of my life I will never have back. However, since I watched it on Netflix I was able to minimize and do something useful like post on M2. |

1. House of Flying Daggers of Zhang Ziyi 2. John Wick of Keanu Reeves 3. P.S. I love You of Gerard Butler The 3 movies kind of reminded of me, that there are different ways, people handle losing someone they love: Caine: Master, what is the best way to meet the loss of one we love? Master Kan: By knowing that when we truly love it is never lost. It is only after death that the depth of the bond is truly felt and our loved one becomes more a part of us than was possible in life. Caine: Are we only able to feel this toward those whom we have known and loved a long time? Master Kan: Sometimes a stranger known to us for moments can spark our souls to kinship for eternity. Caine: How can strangers take on such importance to our souls? Master Kan: Because our soul does not keep time; it merely records growth. |

All three blockbusters...hmmm...
Not bad...not great.... Terminator and Jurassic World I thought would be boring after seeing all the previous ones...but they were okay... |
