Ok.. I keep beating this topic like a dead horse..lol.... but I really don't understand what there is to discuss..lmao.... so we should sit down at the table.. and work out who's doing what over a cup of coffee.. oh wait a minute.. first we have to discuss how we're going to make the coffee... now I will fill the kettle up because it's heavy... or would that offend you.. somehow applying... that you can't lift heavy things...hmm... you fill the kettle up and I'll get the coffee cups down from the cupboard.. now do you want to work the sugar spoon or should I...
.. okay I take cream in my coffee..sooo.. one of us ,has to go out and milk. The Milking cow....lol.. or how about this I will go get the milk.. well you fill up the kettle and get the cups down... now the cow needs to be fed as well... and while I'm out here I need to feed the chickens and gather up their eggs... so we can have eggs in the morning....ohhh.. and if you want bacon... well that pig that we have...mmm..it. isn't.going to turn itself into bacon you know.....
... but if you would like to. feed the cow , . and the chicken.and gather up the eggs... and slaughter the pig.... by all means.. I will just stay in a nice comfy house watching the tea kettle boil... and fry you up some eggs and bacon in the morning..... but hey whatever you feel like doing.... oh and that reminds me... the ignition on the tractor isn't working properly... so you will have to hot wire..it... and if that doesn't work you will have to jump start the starter.... and don't forget to check the oil... top it up if it needs some... and don't forget when you open the shop door... you have to lift up and push at the same time... really put your back into it... I think it weighs 275 pounds... oh that reminds me... the motor for the auger.. was smoking really bad last time I used it... could you stick your hand up in the auger and see if something is stuck up in it.. but make sure the motors. clutch is disengaged... because if it isn't.. the auger could spin freely... and if that were to happen while your arm was up in it..... well just make sure its disengaged.....ok...or.. would you rather sit in the comfy house watching the tea kettle.. and perhaps bake some cookies..hmm..jk..

Okay, put the champagne and bunting away, I'm not in a relationship, lol.
But there's this thing that keeps bugging me. Let's say you'd find a partner again and - eventually - move in together. Most have been single for some time, so we've learnt to do things that our exes used to do.

So how do you deal with the new situation when it comes to chores? Would you automatically start doing the so called 'men things' like fixing a fence, oil a squeaky door, fix a blocked drain, car maintenance of your woman, put out the garbage etc. etc. etc.
Or would you expect her to keep doing these things herself, unless she asks for your help?
And vice versa of course.
As a woman, would you expect your new man to start doing these things?
And as a man, would you expect your woman to do the so called 'woman things', meaning i.e. you'd never cook anymore, help cleaning etc.

Sometimes it's just weird how we can have these routines in our head --> The other day I had a blocked drain. And I found myself wishing I had a man so he could fix it. Yes I know, horrible, pathetic, cos I can easily do that myself. It doesn't require strength, it's just a gross and smelly job.

Anyways, how do you divide all these chores that we usually automatically did in the past with our first partner, and learnt to deal with ourselves because we were single.
Do you just wait and see how it goes? Do you discuss it? If so, when?
when I can't able to open my room this morning, and I really need to change to work..I took all the sharp things to screw the knob and nothing happens..this thread flashed in my mind..and made a wish while staring at the knob...that wish my man is here..and I dont need to go to the guard house wearing only my bathrobegrumble grumble
Talking about chores, I would love to cook ,wash the dishes and etc2 with him..that would be funsmitten smitten smitten bigsmile

Wow, a 3 post fail, triple score of what reads like a typical scammer email.

Is this what y'all are gettin' in your inboxes? No wonder it's hard and getting harder to make a connection, on any site.

I'm gabberflasted.

nah, I employ and USE the filers here. Works wonders.

Ok..hhhahha.. why on earth.. would you think it wouldn't matter to me...
.. of course it matters.... I put a lot of time energy and thought into that...
. there's no way you would be faking..lmao...

.. and I keep hearing this word chores... passed around....lol.. what is the meaning of this word... chores...
is it something I used to watch my mother do around the house... you know cooking cleaning laundry.... keeping the house organized....
well my father looked after the maintenance.. the vehicles.... the turning of the screws so to speak.....

.. I'm all for sharing household duties..
.. I always have, I don't mind doing dishes and vacuuming... to be honest I don't mind household duties I'm quite ..good at it..... but in my mind.... the upkeep of the house....... the day to day running of the house... that's the woman's job.... you can help me with yard work all you want..... but overall I view that as my responsibility... something needs fixing you call me...
. I need a sandwich I call you....lol.. but I shouldn't have to call you.... because you should already have it ready.... why... because it is lunchtime... and you have been busy dealing with the house and laundry and such... and I have being cutting the grass... weeding the flower beds... and fixing the fence.... we are a team..

Well, that all sounds very reasonable :)
You weed flower beds?? Wow .. You're a dream guy!
I can enjoy mowing the lawn, but I must add that the average Dutch lawn is probably a lot smaller than ones in America / Canada / Australia.
I'm lucky, I got some 200mīŋŊ garden, most have 50 or 60 mīŋŊ.

That's why you go to the Boys (girls) from Brazil! No cutting yourself, but ouch!, it hurts when they pull off the (waxed) lawn.

That's why you had the choice of girls also!
Btw, 'The Boys from Brazil' was a movie abt the hunt for the Nazi doctor Josef Mengele, starring Kirk Douglas.

I think in most cases it just works out.most men enjoy doing the man thing. like mowing the law/working on the car/taking out the garbage ETC ETC ETC.I think thats part of enjoyig each other. doing the hous work cooking together.I have had to do it all my slf for a few years. so cleaning the bath room house work and all is no big deal to most of us.

Well; what is your opinion of someone like me that likes doing these chores; minus taking out the garbage or course? LOL I like doing what is called men chores as I am quite handy. I don't mind sharing but I would not be comfortable with a man taking over those chores for me.
