The world was flat ? when I am out side...while looking at the sky
it totally seems like it surrounds us ...like a circle ... and does not seem flat to me at all ... gravity is the only thing that makes me feel like it is flat or be mistaken for flat ... which its not ... your thoughts ? |

Look at the horizon. You don't really see a curve? Even in paintings the horizon a straight line, else it's going to look awfully weird
And even if you did think it was round, you'd shut up about it. Wasn't it blasphemy to say so? Being hanged drawn and quartered isn't really very pleasant? |

it's not flat....ohhhh.noooo
. I will do you one better.. how do the trees and plants and grass no when it is fall... they all change colors at about the same time.. if you are having a hot fall... it's like summer how do they know its fall..hmmm... .. are they that sensitive to light differences.... if your fall.. is in the+ 20s... how do they know it's time to change colors.. ?...

The word horizon derives from the Greek horiz�n kyklos, "separating circle",[2] from the verb horiz�, "to divide", "to separate",[3] and that from (oros), "boundary, landmark".[4] How did the Greeks know the horizon was a portion of a circle? If the Egyptians used formulas and the Greeks and Roman's for architecture, why couldn't they apply it to the horizon back then? We have formula's now that explain. Within 1* degree refracture, usually was used for maritime navigation.
