what does it mean? Does it mean breaking up with u but no guts to tell u or i just need time on my own? How do i react as a girlfriend: say okay or ask for an explaination he had a problem and i asked a friend for an advice and when i told him he hated the fact that my friend knew abt his problem.since then he just get angry when i bring up the subject and next thing i know he needed a break. Men just need to grow up! Pride wil bring a person down and being humble wil do the opposite. For six months i have been listening to his issue and finally i went to a person i trust and who has been through this and can help him and now im a bad person. I like takin action and this issue was not gonna go away by itself. Sometimes african men like being difficult for nothin. First of all, why ask for an explanation?...He already gave you one!... He told you he hated the fact that you broke his confidence...Second, you're not giving enough information for any of us to tell you how to handle the problem and why should we anyway?...For six months he has been talking and you have been listening, yet nothing got resolved...Why didn't you tell him about your friend who had the same issue and suggest he talk with him/her??...If you care about this man, apologize to him for breaking his confidence and give him the time he needs...

Sounds like some trust issues have bubbled up on account of his stubbornness. Everyone seems uncomfortable and suspicious of one another. Too many head games. People don't know what they want/can't bring themselves to say it. Outenzy.

Probably got someone else darlin,better of without him. agree and just say ok ... and try and move on ... he wants to hold the strings as a just in case this other does not work out but be smarter find a better man ...  good luck Op...

Update! I thank u for ure advices. Me and my partner spoke and we made up. Thats why i fell in love with him. He saw i was right and apologised. The break was for our good.

"just need time on my own" could mean just that or i could mean you just became an option. either way, yes, you do deserve an explanation.
