What is 'love'?? Difficult one... is there such thing as love at first sight (or just personal attraction/interest/lust)?? Generally we could say it isn't mean, hurtful, selfish, inconsiderate. Many people arent open to being loved because they just take, take and only think of themselves. Personally I believe its something more. It is finding that someone who meets what you want. So, it is personal and individual to you. But beware many are not open, truthful or honest about what they are like, or want!!!

You can't ever really 'know.'
All you can do is hope and do the work. |

I know when it is there and when it is not. Other than that, I have no insights or qualifiers.

A friend (on here) likes to say "friendship on fire". Love that! I was just coming over to repost it...I'm glad you like it Beach...In all my years, it's the best definition (for me) I've ever heard...So simplistically profound.... |

Don't know seriously.. But what i understood so far is that ,.,
when u r at peace on ur mind,, u r in love. let fate decide who will be there. everything is eventually bound to happen,, and everything happens for a reason,, so go with the flow... |

what is love to you?
A highly pleasurable process of bonding and emotionally driven compelled behavior that occurs naturally with your only conscious choice being to stop it (you can't choose to start it). And how can we know that he or she the right one for us?
How can you rationally and objectively know if someone is subjectively and irrationally correct for you? That's the question you are asking. Are you under the impression "love" is like a switch in your head that if you just fulfill the right conditions then it will be switched "on" and you will never ever have to do anything, nothing will change? So if you find the "right" one then everything will be obvious and then easy from then on? That relationships fail because one person wasn't "real" or themselves and it only lasted as long as it took for them to "really" come out? Or that they didn't "really" feel love if it doesn't last forever? That's implied in your question to know the "right" one. If not, then the question is irrelevant. Other than that, you have to make your choices and live with the consequences. If you don't like them, then get smarter and make better choices. |

This is a real tough question. To me there are many types of love. They are the treads that connect us, the lines that bind us. the parts that unify and join who we are. Love is the feeling in one's heart like it is about to burst. Love is the tiny flower that for a brief second glimmers and glows in the sporadic rays of the sun. Love is all the things you want it to be, and all the things that words can't explain. Love just is.
Oh and look up Taylor Mali "Why Falling in Love is Like Owning a Dog". It's hilarious. |
