Just so you know, if they aren't too far along yet, they can still get pregnant. I have a friend who got his woman pregnant with a girl then two weeks later they conceived twin boys. When they came out the girls was a week overdue and the boys were a week early but they are still sorta triplets... I'd say it'd be awkward if the first wasn't yours and that happened. its very rare, but it happens, kind of like having twins of different 'races',,,,,, normally, pregnancy hormones will stop being produced after conception, but sometimes that process is delayed ,,resulting in either another egg being released and fertilized at a separate time,, or one of the other eggs released at the same time becoming fertilized at a later time
