I actually hate the word, why is it ok for an older man to date younger women but when it is the opposite we are called cougars? I have always dated younger guys and still do. I had an 8 year relationship with a guy who was 19 years younger.flowerforyou

I am pretty sure no one has said it's a "bad" thing. We are not been judgmental. Just "stating the facts, mam." Embrace it or not: up to you! Reality does not change... true story!

ok we seem to have a problem with the term cougar but when you stop to think about it it's not so bad, case in point My kids took me out for dinner and dancing for my birthday to a local bar. I was on the dance floor all night with my son, step grandson, and future son in law. My daughter pointed out as we were leaving that all the other tables were pointing at me and calling me a cougar. Which was fine with me because they don't know me and I don't care what they think. The one term I can't abide is MILF and I have been called that not knowing what it meant, but when I found out those boys were not allowed back in my home.

Okay. I think a sexy older lady is called a "cougar". And, a sexy older lady with kids is called a "MILF"....

It was hurtful, derogatory, and meant to insult. I deserved what I got.

It doesn't bother ME. It's just a word, baby. Like...cougar....

Being called a cougar doesn't bother me either...In fact, every time a man called me one TO MY FACE I considered it a compliment because that is the way it was delivered...How men say it behind my back may be a completely different thing though:tongue: ...If so, they are probably not the kind of men I would "cougarize"shocked new word? anyway!!...lmao!!...I think of cougars as hip, hot, finely aged older women...So yeah, I'll take itbigsmile ....The other C word is an entirely different matter:angry: ...When men label women with the C word, the connotation is always negative...I hope she knocked out a couple of teeth Beach!laugh laugh

Totally agree. Haven't had much luck so far with them staying, though. Would love a long term relationship, but so far the younger guys are programmed to flee when it gets serious. ;)

Hm. I just assumed a man in his 40's wasn't considered a little boy. I guess I'm wrong on that? Maybe it's true what people say; that men never really grow up. I prefer to give them the benefit of the doubt. :)
