Topic: The "cougar" word | |
---|---|
The word didn't exist in the 80s, but @ 19 during college, I worked in a deck specialty lumberyard. Blah blah blah.....literally "delivered wood." The "Cougar" was a very real phenomenon although we didn't have a word for it back then. I wasn't all that slick at the time.....but worked with guys with contracts on their lives. Are you saying you think you're slick NOW?... |

ok we seem to have a problem with the term cougar but when you stop to think about it it's not so bad, case in point My kids took me out for dinner and dancing for my birthday to a local bar. I was on the dance floor all night with my son, step grandson, and future son in law. My daughter pointed out as we were leaving that all the other tables were pointing at me and calling me a cougar. Which was fine with me because they don't know me and I don't care what they think. The one term I can't abide is MILF and I have been called that not knowing what it meant, but when I found out those boys were not allowed back in my home.

I don't care for the term, Cougar. It sounds so predatory. I don't stalk them or munch on their innards. ;)
Any alternative handles? Or should we just call ourselves human beings? I kinda like that. |

It's just a word. True that. I always say that about the other "C" word... |

It's just a word. True that. I always say that about the other "C" word... I had a girlfriend send me over my car with a right cross to the mouth for letting that one fly. I've acted with much more "propriety" since I was 17. |

It was hurtful, derogatory, and meant to insult. I deserved what I got.
