With all due respect, aside from a physical appearance, how will you be different after the surgery? What New things will you be able to do that you can't do now?

I ask because one of my coworkers and I have had a similar discussion. She says she can't find men because of her size. In reality, she is shy and not happy with herself or the world. These are all things that are psychological and not at all physical.
She told me after surgery she will be more adventurous. More open. More daring. She will go places and talk to people.

I asked her why she can't start any of this stuff now. Be more open and more outgoing? She didn't really have an answer.

I wish you the best in whatever Lind of surgery you are having. I hope it turns out well and that you have a speedy recovery.
