I like the idea of it being an optional thing. like a setting that says we want ot do not want to participate........I for one am tired of getting e-mails that "someone" wants to meet me, then having to click through dozens of pics/profiles clicking no/yes/maybe......boring!

If someone likes me and my profile, just e-mail me. That's what I do when I see someone interesting enough that I would want to chat with.

I don't use MM and I am tired of being notified and then matched up to people who even if we are matched, DO NOT WRITE ANYWAY....

I say make it a setting option....

I agree with creationsfire, I have mutual matches that I have written 2 and I dont get a reply, why then did they vote a yes or maybe if your not really interested. I had a guy that didnt show up on the mutual match send me an email and now we are talking on email and by phone. So I say just let us choice to participate or not.

Why do you guys feel the need to bring it upon yourself to vote on it? Should that not be something for Mike and VC to decide?

Ok, so change one word to what do you think about........ basically, maybe we want to chat about it and see what people think. We already know what we think. We want to know what others think. Maybe someone will mention it to M&V or not. No biggie.......at least all the peeps aren't saying get rid of it. There is always some kind of compromise, and M&V see these threads. If they like the idea, or if someone brings it up to them, fine. We know that we can't change things. We know that M&V are the only ones who can change anything in here, but how are they supposed to know about it if we all don't talk it over and get some opinions first.....this isn't the first time this has happened. No one whined when the idea of MM was talked about when it was first being thought about. So whats the big deal abut us talking about a little tweak here or there?

ok, this said and then I'm out of this thread, (yeah like everyone hasn't heard that one b4 )....I don't even use MM. I didn't care it from the start. At first I thought it was a ok idea, but changed my mind.

I CHOOSE not to use it but have no way to turn off the feature so I won't keep getting the annoying e-mails and my pic being displayed to men while I have no intention to answer.

Not fair to them or me.

I have put a note in my profile that I don't use the feature, but come on folks....some get in a hurry and just click if they like the pic......

I would rather not be getting the notices and I'm sure the guys looking through the MM pics wouldn't want to have to waste thier time with someone who feels that way I do.

SO again, it can be as easy as making it an option, and everyone is happy.

Let it stay and let people decide if they want to use it. What's so hard about that?

It IS optional... I've never used it, I'm here for platonic reasons.

I say use it if you want and if you dont then dont but some people are shy and that is one way of seeing if someone is interested.

I don't really use it. when I have sat & gone thru millions it seems the one in my lil box never send any notes anyways sooo.. pppffftt!!! that ok!

transientmind.....where is the option to turn it off? I would love to know, so I wouldn't keep getting e-mails from people who will never talk to me unless they e-mail me themselves.....why waste thier time? And mine?
