I met a guy here in Ireland he was from C.T. it lasted nearly 2 years, we broke up recently due to other reasons other than distance, suppose it helped that Im regular visitor to U.S.
And he was free to visit me as often as he could.

I will always say this. No one will ever get to know anyone untill you live with them. So you can visit hang around as like Gypsy said but the realnees comes from living with someone

youre right about that shadow....but it would be nice if people would show their bad side before you sell all of your stuff and move in with someone.

I live alone and if in relationship will still live alone like my space too much, selfish maybe but after spending 27 years with one person thats what I want.

I wish I could chime in with advice, but I think anything under 500 miles is a short distance relationship. I never even had one of those work out. But any relationship is about accepting the faults of the person your with, and making them the things you like most about them.

littlepreggers, I met my gf 4 months ago and it took up untill the last day when i was to actually meet her not to think about things. if I had one suggestion to give to you and it helped me alot and things went how they were supose to. Try not to put any expection on what might happen or hope to happen. just go and meet him with an open mind and tell yourself lets see what happens. Don't try to plan things out and it will go alot smoother for both of you

No don't think that your not ready. I don't think that has to do with anything at all. It's just this is new to you and something we all at one point go through. Im sure your boy is well love and will be taken care of. Your ready, it just getting there is where it will all set in and you'll realize how colm you are once you meet him. It's just getting there that has you going.

thanks you guys.. thanks snuggles.. i guess iw ill have to just take a bunch of pictures of my son along with me..lol... and shadow yes this is vary new to me.. i was with my childrens father for 3 years from 18-21 and all i new was how to be hurt lied to and cheated on....i have only had friends with benefets sinse my ex and i broke up... so looking to get with someone for a relationship scares me.....
