I guess I live in utopia, my current gf (going on over 6 years) is, and has been since I met her overweight, but she has nice eyes, pretty face, but neither of those qualities (although nice) is what attracted me to her, her since if humor was nice, but that was just extra, what attracted me the most was her caring spirit, while in line at a grocery store, she bought the little kid in front of us something, I don't remember what it was, I just remember seeing the genuine look of joy on her face at doing something for someone else, it was over for me then.

it may not seem like much, but after being married to one of the most self-centered individuals on the planet it held a lot of meaning for me.

I think ones prior experiences play a huge role in overall attraction, I think as one grows and matures so do their particular criteria for what they consider to be attractive. but thats just my opinion

I think the same True/False question could be put towards a guy too. I think initial reaction is always based on physical appearance but long term interest is based on all the stuff you find underneath. I have met some really good looking guys but they have been so bland it was frightening. Talk about a waste of a good book cover lol.

I think it's true for people who have experienced this notion that it really is more than exterior but because I haven't seen a lot of depth in examples of my personal perspective, (a la living where I live) it's still something of a crossed realm of possibility. Not saying it can never happen, just my own outlook and observance lead me to believe it is this way. Grows and matures are independent on the person, usually the key terms and I suppose it's the people you meet in life who come across as such or the other way. Some stay cad, others can be what you're saying. My perceptions haven't picked it up yet.

Yeah, you're probably right. But the same thing can be said about women. I often notice that on a lot of women's lists of things they're looking for in a guy. Looks are either the first thing mentioned or the second, Haha. What I've come to realize is that guys and gals are pretty much the same, just as we're different Haha. True freaking thing!
