What do you do when the one person on your mind shouldnt be here. I have this friend that ive always thought was amazing and i liked him from the moment i met him, but he had a girlfriend...so i just became the best friend.. we hang out and talk all the time.. we are closer than close.. his girlfriend recently gave him an ultimatum and told him either it was her or me, and they broke up because he chose our friendship over their relationship.... I cant help pbut think that means something more than just a friendship.. weve only been friends 4 months or so.. theyve been together a year.. then a while back a conversation between all of our friends the topic.. who would you date outta your friends and out of all the girls we know he said hed only date me because he knows id never break his heart. Lately we've hung out even more so than we did while him and amber were together.. and i know he is vunerable and on the rebound.. but i cant stop thinking about him and its been that way for 3 months... should i make a move.. and if so when would be a good time to.. grr i hate dating!!!!

sounds like he broke up with the girlfriend forwhatever reason, but it's obvious that ultimatiums are not a good thing..treat the new friendship/relationship like a flower;don't over care for the flower and it will grow!! good luck girl>>

Looking at this from the perspective of someone who's a.) older and b.) not involved closely in this situation, I think it says a LOT that he wasn't going to let his X push him into a corner when she gave him the "her or me" talk.

It says he's a stand-up guy with a mind of his own and he won't be pushed around.

I say go for it, and keep this in mind. He sounds like a doll.

The BEST relationships...start as GREAT friendships. I think you should talk to HIM about it...I hope it works out for you both.

I would say if you are still on speaking terms and he broke up with the girlfriend then he is more intrested in you than you think. if you let him go you will both most likely be sorry it happened the best thing I can think of ask him flat out, still from what you have wrote I would say you have a boyfriend. (*_*)

ok not the best at these things myself---but when your hanging out say something like i know you just got out of a relationship and you're probably hurt, but as your friend id like you to know that if your willing id like to see if maybe we could have something together...remind him that no matter what youll always be his friend and just give him a little time to act on it....

I'm with justmenoel! Go get your man, BUT doing in a umm subtle way. Have to keep in mind... what if he really...actually just sees you as a best friend? So, Play it cool. When you guys are hanging out (i know this sounds high school) but bump his hand with yours... see what he does.

the last time we were at the mall we were window shopping (cuz we are haveing a HUGE halloween partY and are going to dress up together) totaly by accident my hand brushed up against his and he tried to hold it.. then we realized we were holding hands and he had a gf at the time.. we never talked about it lol
