Why do most people bad mouth their EX partners? Is it to get sympathy or to get love from the next girl/guy? Is it necessary to say a lot of rubbish about the Ex with your new man/ woman? IS IT EVEN NECESSARY TO TALK ABOUT THE EX IN A NEW RELATIONSHIP?

Normally due to they have not gotten over them... It does no good to bash them learn from it and move on... Until one can honestly do that they will let the past eat them up...

Welcome to Mingle2, Rotam.

There are many reasons why people trash talk their exes.

1) They get dumped and they're angry and vindictive and want to hurt the other person any way they can.

2) They're still in love or lust and want to keep others away from their ex until they can get back with them or know it's over for good.

3) They're low class or no class and don't know it's inappropriate to speak about personal issues or their exes in a bragging, defamatory, or derogatory manner because by so doing they make themselves look bad too.

4) I could go on but I think I've listed enough general information to help explain why people act out (talk rubbish).

Is it necessary to say a lot of rubbish about the Ex with your new man/ woman? IS IT EVEN NECESSARY TO TALK ABOUT THE EX IN A NEW RELATIONSHIP?

1) No. It's not necessary to even acknowledge their existence if the relationship is in the past and there's no baggage you need to explain.

2) Yes. If the ex is still around and causing problems. Then explaining why to your new partner can help ease the tension and get their emotional support while you deal with the issues so you all can hopefully move on peacefully.

Just my opinions, naturally. flowerforyou

Kinda funny to see this topic, synchronicity: yesterday during our gig I was told by someone that my ex, his new partner and my ex's son do an awful lot of Crystal-bashing. I was quite shocked. I already knew that, but to hear this during a gig was quite harsh, not the best timing to be confronted with that (Mr Ex is the drummer of the band).
I also don't really get why. My friend told me it's like walking into a wall of "anti-Crystal" when she visits them. WTF? So they don't have a life, if it revolves around bashing me? Must be one he|| of a relationship!
Guess that's the kind of shite you get with a narcissist. Not sure if in his case it has to do with not being over me. One can never truly know what's going on in a NPD's mind.
