Awh...let me see if I can rememeber

The cowboy somehow or other gets a calf on it's back. This is hard to do because the mother cow's want to stomp anyone near their babies into a mudhole. Plus, calves are bigger and tougher than they look

Then, the cowboy ties up three of the calf's legs, and throws his hand in the air...like all those pictures you've seen

They tie up the three legs with the piggin string. Lookin, forgive my description, but the piggin string sounds sort of like a slipknot used in crochet, but much bigger rope, and more wraps

I admit, I forget what the water cooler isembarassed

And, I used to be Boston's Cowboy Expert...My, how the mighty have fallentears

Oh yes, calf roping I get and know. Knew the first line actually but decided to go into my own thoughts for it tonight

You would be surprised how strong those are because to look at them you wouldn't think so.

As for the mother cows, yea know that too.
Had a calf get it's head stuck in a wooden gate once.
Had my foot trying to get him to go down with his head to free him.
I actually had the entire herd come at me because the calf was bawling so loud.
Good thing I was on the other side of the gate that day or I would have been toast..

And, through these stories, I developed a respect for cows surprised

I always tell this story, many years ago, a former boyfriend of mine took me on a trip to Vermont. Now, understand, to me Vermont is rural...the real "country"

We were driving down a road when I spotted a bunch of animals in a field in the distance.

"Oh, look, Dalmatians!" I said

They were Holstein cowslaugh

That is how much of a city girl I am

Never ever thought of a Holstein as a dog before.

Yea well, I am not a city girl.
Was born and raised in town but went to the country once I moved away.
Love the country and everything it has to offer.

That looks good.

I remember metal cups from when I was a kid.

Always liked drinking out of them for some reason.
