I don't think so dub was handing out stick horses though Well, I guess a stick horse in the bush is better than one in the han...wait...hold on...that didn't sound right..I meant a stick horse in the hand is better than two in the bus... Nevermind |

The saddle, a tool of the trade
Decorated details etched in the leather The smooth saddle works just as well The smell of the leather Mixed with the smell of the horse Sitting cinched upon the horse Waiting for the rider to find their place The rider eases into place The horse steadies under the extra weight Leather creaks as you settle in the seat Your foot slips into the stirrup Your had draws up the reign Adventure or work it's all the same To sit in the saddle again Oh yes, one day |

This is one I have never figured out how to use.
I know it has a purpose and I am sure a reason. Just not sure why you would need 2 bits in the horse's mouth I suppose. |

maybe he gits a bit horsey without it.

I think it's more for the movements the rider wants the horse to do.
Actually in the higher levels of Dressage is where I have seen them used. I usually use a snaffle bit when riding or a hackamore. |

I think it's more for the movements the rider wants the horse to do. Actually in the higher levels of Dressage is where I have seen them used. I usually use a snaffle bit when riding or a hackamore. If I remember right, the lower bit is for 'head set'(angle of the head and arch of the neck), and stopping, the upper is for steering. |

Think it, feel it through your entire body. Become one with the horse. Light hands, legs, seat and eyes. You can get a good stop without ever using the reigns. You can also get the horse to go where you want by looking and thinking in the direction you want to go. I have done it with Jet so many times. |
