A good deal of the knowledge comes from studying people who have had brain injury, strokes, etc.
For example, if the Broca's area of the brain is damaged, people have difficulty with speech and/or comprehension. So, we know that the Broca's area is necessary for speech |

Cougar or Granny?

I don't want to conform to, or be thought of as either label.
Both, are being used in a denigrating fashion. I particularly take offense at my status as a grandmother being reduced to someone's sexual fantasy. In my world "grandmother" is an important role. Not just a fetish website. |

As always, I have to rain on the parade. As an independent woman, these styles often don't appeal to me. They restrict movement, make ambulating difficult.
I know I am being a stick in the mud, but this style of dressing enforces women being dependent on others. I know, I know, I am taking it too seriously |

what A-holes. Well, many come online to "let off steam", or vent. It seems to be difficult for them to connect their cruel, very cruel comments with a realhuman Thankfully, this site is well moderated. It protects people from a constant onslaught of abuse. It feels restrictive at times, but serves the greater good |

I am not sure if you are talking about the definition of persona that is used in psychology.
If you are, I think it id a necessary defense mechanism for most people. In every social situation we choose which aspects of ourselves to reveal. It's sort of a "need to know" system. For example, someone might really enjoy BDSM, but the conservative manager at the bank where they work doesn't need to know that. So, they don't show up at work dressed in leather chaps, with a whip. I think that sometimes online, a sort of opposite phenomena occurs. Anonymity is freeing. And, many feel that what they say online doesn't count, because "online isn't real" So, these people post constant cruelty with no thought to others |

As an Italian American, I feel an intense need to defend green peppers.
Although, they should be sauteed in olive oil with garlic |

Just stopping into to say, "Aaaaaaaaargh!" Good day? Commuter rail was 25 minutes late this morning And, I understand cost containment, but today's work battle floored me. An ENT surgeon with 25 YEARS of experience exams an 18 month old child. The child has enormous tonsils and adenoids. They parents have brought in a film they took on their phone of the child sleeping. In the film, the child is having obvious episodes of sleep apnea. They have taken the film, because the child could not complete a formal sleep study in the lab, or at home The insurance reviewer (his specialty is gastroenterology) denies the surgery because no formal sleep study was done. How is it cost effective to perform a test that isn't necessary for diagnosis? How is it cost effective for a physician who has never examined, or even met a patient to make a decision? For that matter, how is it cost effective to have me and ten other people employed to advocate for these poor patients? Okay, rant over. Thanks for listening. And, yes, I did get the surgery approved |

I mean the forums on here remind me of my sons post on mindcraft! A bunch of childish discombulated Rhetoric meant to harass and put down others because of thier preference. Because my family is athletic and health inclined and I want my son to live with a hea lthy attitude. And for the Idiot that put I only care what is on the outside apparently you didn;t read my poem and the fact that I read and write for a living besides what I do as my main job. I have a four-year college degree in business that I dont use. I am a welder by trade, which is an Artisan by title. So, you have no idea about me so stop making shoot-from-the-hip assumptions. Sorry, I am not a fat-body I don;t believe in running to McDonald;s everyday because your tolazy to fix your own meals. O and thanks to the site moderator for making that clear! I have no time for adult kids so thsi will be my last post on forums. Thanks for your time and less-than helpful advice. But....but...aren't you the one making assumptions? Aren't you the one who is judging an entire group of people as too lazy to cook, and being at McDonald's every night? |
