Topic: What do you think Mingle ladies? You too guys. | |

I've been asked to go to a baseball game.
I don't particularly like baseball, I'm a football and basketball girl! Go Eagles... Go Sixers Trying to live a more authentic me, I feel compelled to tell this guy that I Do Not Like baseball, but I like him. Does this sound too forward...considering this would be our 1st date! Guys... how would you react if a girl went to a game with you but wasn't all that interested in the game? Would you have preferred her to tell you, " I don't like the sport but I would like to hang out with you " |

If I liked him at all, I would enjoy the time spent
with him, no matter where it was. |

Well, for the first date I think you should both be comfortable. I really don't know if I would not go, as I have never been put in this position.
What I do know, is that if he is passionate about baseball, you will be surprised when you see this passion. I know that the first time I saw passion from a man, about something he really loved, it was a huge turn on for me. I soaked in everything about him as his passion for it radiated throughout his entire being. |

Well personally.. I like baseball, and its definitely much more fun to watch/play in person..
If you don't like baseball, have been to a game before to experience it and know you don't like it.. just tell him, but also tell him you'd be interested in something else.. I mean weather is definitely a lot better now, so could be something else you could both do that you both like together.. (then again, im from Canada, so snow is just melted haha). If you don't come off as a ***** when you tell him you don't particularly like Baseball, and would rather do something you both like.. i'm positive he'd understand and pick something else! So, good luck :D |

Humm had a first date a few years ago it was at a gun range.. I don't own one and not into them but went and actually had a blast...
Even though I'm not a sports person at all.. Last guy I dated went to the football parties with him anyway.. Even though I most likely only watched about half the game had a few beers and enjoyed the crowd and the time spent... And yes he did know that I was not into sports but was willing to go and make the best of it... |

Hi. Having fun is about the way you interact with a person. That being said, if I was asking someone to a first date, I would try for it to be at a place that was mutually entertaining.
You might be happily surprised and have a great time. If you've never been to a live game, it's much more interesting than when you see it on tv. But it will give you insight as to your date. Have fun. Wish you the best. |

If you get bored you can always smother him with one of those gloves they wear |

The first date should be a venue or activity everybody enjoys.
As honesty is a basic ingredient of any interaction, speak up. If you're not at all into that game say so, if it's that you're just not comfy with it for the first date say honestly that for a first date you'd prefer .....xyz..... followed by asking "what do you think"? |
