Topic: Why high heels? | |
---|---|
Hardly ever, special occasions only. Danged things are too uncomfortable, plus I'm 5'9", not awfully tall, but tall enough as it is. I prefer to wear my ole boots. They're totally worn, look like shite by now, and I got three pairs of new ones upstairs, but still keep wearing the old ones, lol.

Personally, I love wearing heels - but I'm really short. If I don't, I have noticed that sometimes people will speak to me like I'm a kid.
For ladies who find their heels to be "torture devices" - make sure your shoes are fitting properly (a lot of people wear a larger size in a heel because of how the foot sits) and try to find a heel that isn't too high or too thin. Makes a big difference! |

I always wore heels, 3"-4" at work.
They used to have these wooden heels called 'Bear Traps' all the rage. Mon, your feet hurt SO bad after a day of those. What we do for fashion. I am telling youz, 4" heeled boots, mini-skirts...it was all we could do to climb stairs. |

Ok, I'm on the train to work and I see some women wearing high heels to work? Why? Why not walking shoes to work? Why heels ever? They look like torture devices. So ladies, do you like wearing heels? I don't wear them. I wear sneakers or flat shoes. They squeeze your toes together. They hurt my feet. I will wear them on a special occasion if I wear a nice dress. |

High heels are the reason I got good at giving a foot massage. I totally think feet are gross but how those heels make a woman's tush look is totally worth giving one hell of a foot massage.

It's no loss. I can still wear high-heeled knee-high boots, with my dresses. Someone at my internship placement, keeps calling me kinky boots, after the song. And he winks at me. He teases EVERYONE there. I know my place.

Growing up in the late 50's the pointed toe high(not as high as now) heels were popular. As I got older I had problems with my feet from the pointed toes. I haven't worn heels since 2000 when I had my back surgery. I have had a knee replacement, surgery on a blown out Achilles, a torn meniscus( all that on the same leg)and bunion and toe surgery on the other foot. Now I can't wear anything over 1" high. I'm getting old now so nobody cares what I wear on my feet...LOL I need to move to a warm place year round as I don't like wearing shoes anymore...

I think it's wonderful when women wear heels, and I'm always willing to accommodate. Also, I consider giving a foot rub the least I can do. It's her reward for wearing the heels, and encouragement to continue!
I know-- a bit odd. But that's just me. :) |

i did where heels all the time till I learned how long a city block can be in them and walks in parks you need sneakers not heals climbing the hills ... I don't have them too high anymore... but on occasions I might where them ... and i don't have a whole closet full of shoes anymore either lol |
