I think part of either sex playing relationship head and heart games is control- *shrug* too many people feel that being honest and open is dangerous; society has taught us getting hurt is a bad thing, so why not hurt somebody else to get what you want and come out ahead? It is painful logic and our programming to stay on top often steps all over our good sides (very general statement there- not pointed at any person in particular)

unfortunately honesty is one of the qualities hardest to find these days. people tend to say what they think you want to hear. and it's easy to read into that exactly what you were wanting to hear all along. sad yet true. it's better to talk for quite a while. as long as you can, as friends, before moving to any next levels. that way you know more about who they really are.

I've never posted anything on a forum, but I thought I'd add my two cents: Relationships take work and time, whether you meet the person on the internet or in your town. Take things slow and really get to know the person.
