“Don’t Know Anymore”


I feel so empty inside.
No longer can I hide.
Broken is my pride.
Again I have sat and cried.

Each day I do try.
Not to wonder why.
Or try to deny.
Why I sit and cry.

It seems that each day.
My tears I must wipe away.
Others hear me say.
Really I’m okay.

At times I do not know.
If maybe I should just go.
Until the tears no longer flow.
And I no longer feel so low.

You see from the start.
I was not very smart.
I laid out my heart.
And things fell apart.

I don’t know what to say.
As I look your way.
I see you here each day.
I can’t seem to walk away.

At first everything was alright.
Then it fell apart over night.
As I sit here and write.
I just want to escape into the night.
