This was written by me after I got hurt real bad by a player a few years ago

I thought we had something true
As I slowly left you into my heart
I gave you glimpses of the real me
then the truth came out
all I was to you was the back burner gal
The one you turned to,
when the one you wanted to be with
Said no
The one you talked to
opened up too
but the one who wasn't good enough to be known
I was the hidden one
The back burner gal
You called me daily
You kept me on the string
then one day
my eyes opened
and I faced myself
I allowed you to leave me become
a puppet on a string
a back burner gal
I faced the truth
and began to realize
that I must be stronger
because I am worthy
of being more than
a back burner gal
Today I am me
no longer a puppet on a string
I am stronger
and wiser
No longer a back burner gal
Still alone
but that is fine
beause today I know
that I am worthy of a special mans time
That I will never again
be a puppet on a string
or a back burner gal

Poly I believe there are more great ones out there then players, its just like with anything else, you hear and see more about the bad ones, then the good ones.

Joe you are right I have seen women do the same thing. Players come in all shapes sizes, and both sexes.
