Well da answer varies frm person to person...da biggest problem of LDR is lack of trust...whenever u get a late reply frm ur partner its obvious to get a doubt and often u thnk da negative part...so LDR is for those who r blessed with da power with which they can satisfy themselve by getting only da positive thoughts in their mind....

Speaking as someone who has just come out of one....no........im in ireland and she moved back to england 6 months ago after being here for 11 years. 6 months down the line she was allways to busy or tired to answer texts. I went over after 2 months for a visit and alot of money i couldnt afgord and all was good then a month later the texting got less and less. Went over 2 weeks ago and was put on the couch, and made feel like i was in the way til i finally had to leave. All this after 4 years together. So in my exoerience no they dont work

All the people that r sayn long distant relationships are a waste of time are clearly not letting in a chance to be honest to themselves and wasting their time on a site like this one. We often confine ourselves to believing we can only love within our bounderies....thats a good place to start but have you experienced any other boundery? I live in Zambia...central southern africa and i have challenged my love life by saying....any man willing to travel a 1000 miles to prove he wants to be with me no matter when he decides is an honest love worth waiting for. Yes i have been deceived a billion times but the chats end within a week because all the man looks forward to is a distance he can easily come and have sex then leave....
I seek a man that values a love he can dedicate to even before he see it in person........respect to everyone dating at a distance...

its not possible to really have
a long distant relationshiip
especially for where your from
you would be better off finding
someone in your own location

the last long distant relationship
that i had he lived only a hour away
but yet he didnt make the effort
to visit often

my ex husband
when we got together
he lived in town
but he moved 4hours away
back to help his mom
but yet we saw each other
mainly every other weekend
we were together on and off
for 2yrs before we got married

I can't imagine any guy flying all the way across the world just to see me.

That's a sad thought. If we were in love I would swim the sea if I had to. No time or space will keep away a connection of the heart. I believe this to be true

LDR = More work & investment from both 2 sides...

Sadly, it never pans out for some :( ... But surely it works out for those that puts in that extra mile!

I did it for quite some time but it takes work on both sides, I got tired of being the only one working at it
