Scammers are on every social site. Dating sites are no different. You just need to know how to identify them.

The site tries very hard to keep Scammers at bay. We ask all members to use the report system in order to help the site out. Always report the ones you feel are a scammer.... Hope that helps Site Mod Kristi

Funny enough (might be a very strange coincidence) or not ;) but since I put this thing on here? the yahoo fake profiles funny enough seem to have stopped ;) funny timing

Hi, I'm new to the site. and every person who has IM'd me in the less than 24 hours since I joined has asked for my yahoo ID. is this unusual here?? do most "real" users of the site chat on the site until people are comfortable to give out more info or do people just meet here and move to yahoo?

Luring you off-site is the way scammers like to do it. Mingle2 has no jurisdiction over their agendas if you do so. Chatting here is the way to go until you get to know someone. If you suspect a scammer, report them :-)

Thank you Soufie. :) I was going with my instincts to stay on site, but then meeting so many who were insistent (somewhere around 8-10 in one day) I was beginning to think this is how everyone does it.
