they should make getting married as difficult as getting divorced! I filed almost a year ago and my divorce STILL isn't final! Every time I think it's going to finalize I get something else saying I didn't check a box or dot an I or back flip through this hoop. UGH! I think I FINALLY got it all done today, but I guess I will just have to wait and find out. Wish me luck!

Good Luck,

its a pain if one party is absent or diaagreeable,,

I think people shouldn't have to get married through government, I Think there should be simple contracts for what they choose to 'commit' to with another person

want to share assets/responsibilities? there should be a simple contract to sign stating so

want to absolve that contract, there should be a simple contract to do that too?

want to have medical power of attorney, a simple contract
want to absolve it,, another contract

it would make the whole civil rights arguments about marriage mute,,,

and I agree, divorce and marriage should be much simpler, and have fewer legal 'strings' to tie up the process,,

That's what a pre-nup contract is for.

I was born and raised in Oregon, unfortunately I now live in California where it takes a minimum of 6 months. I'm just ready to be done with this. BTW I have family in Lincoln City :)

You must stop by and visit krupa and me when next
you visit here :-)

Have also done the 6 month wait-for-a-divorce in
California, waste of time.
