Age does make a difference from 30 years down!
Without certain life experiences, it's difficult to appreciate the life choices and understanding of someone who is older. Which is why I prefer to date within my age group. |

If age were just a number, then it would be legal for kids in the USA to buy alcohol. Go to the doctor by themselves or get prescription drugs given to them without having a parent or guardian present. they can do that now... teen girls can get birth control and abortions without any parental consent... |

Yes, they can but I am talking about prescription drugs like Tylenol 3, Codine, Oxycodone, morphine, etc. |

I couldn't see dating a guy in his 20s which is usually the age the hits on me. I make it a rule not to date someone that is younger than some of my possessions that I own. |

Not to mention I do have a public image to maintain as being seen as a cougar probably would do me more harm than good especially since I teach children, so don't want to date them. LOL |

with age , people mature, but they mature at different rates
as a culture we have certain (legal) expectations based upon that number (age) we expect them to be matured enough to he bound to a contract by 18,,,although people don't magically reach maturity at 18,, its 'just a number', but its still a culturally defined expectation we expect them to be able to consent to sex sooner than that, but even that consent is legislated based upon the age of the other party,,, numbers are significant,, 1 and 10 are 'just numbers' too,, but if found guilty of a crime, would one rather be sentenced to 1 year or 10? more time equals the potential for more opportunities, more obstacles, more of EVERYTHING,,,,so we tend to look at the passing of time in life as more opportunity to mature, more opportunity for experiences, more opportunity for growth,,, in dating, age is just a number, but it can make a significant difference in where the people are in life and how well they relate to and understand each other as well as what path they can take together throughout the rest of life,, |

age difference shouldn't matter when love exists , and i am not saying only words , that is based upon successful relationships by me and a successful marriage of my parents ( my mother is older than my father ) Depends on the age difference. At 53; I can't see me dating a 25 year old and the relationship simply will not work. As this 25 year old ages; he will change drastically over the years as he starts to mature and there will be some major problems with someone twice his age. It would be more a mom and son relationship; not a romantic one. This is the logical course of nature and love is not going to make everything better magically. exactly navygirl ..... and men take longer to mature... I have always preferred them older ... |

age is a number just as a street address is a number.... it helps you find the house your looking for, but it doesn't give you the slightest clue as to what is inside..... Guess you never heard of numerology |

Age is and always will be a number.
I am 60+. That is the NUMBER of my years. No matter what system you use to COUNT your seconds, days, years, decades, TIME will always be a NUMBER. |
