Topic: Death of the True Gentleman!!!

I too have been plagued by what I call "the nice guy response". I have been turned down too many times to count because I take my hat off upon entering a room, or holding a door for a lady. I blame the degradation of society. The rock stars and the media telling girls/ women that men should treat them badly. I say shame on them. We as society need men like us to show young ladies how to respect themselves so we can have an example of how they should be treated....rambles on aimlessley... I call bull on this post as you can't blame society. Each woman decides how she wants to be treated. As the poster said; just because you show manners, or are a nice guy; that doesn't mean these women should be attracted to you. Honestly; you nice guys think women should be lining up for you because you claim you are a nice. I met a guy that claimed he was a nice guy and he hit me. So much for nice guys as they indeed can become jerks and very manipulative. I have a friend exactly like that but the chemistry was never there between us and he cries foul because he is too nice? That is hogwash.

Let me see if I have this thing you Humans call "being a Gentleman" figured out. A Human male is a "Gentleman" if he treats a woman as if she were a helpless weakling who can't do simple tasks for herself, such as opening a door. Did I get it right?

I believe the gentleman died upon meeting the modern gold-digging whore. We really do have an epidemic of gold-digging whores out there Geez... Say what you think don't hold back!

Most women...not girls barely out of training bras... Can and DO appreciate the gentlemen. However, some men confuse being a gentleman with being a wimp. Women DO NOT LIKE WIMPS! Pull out my chair, hold my arm to guide me around a puddle while sheilding me from the rain.. is gentleman behaviour. Hmmming and Hommming on where to go to dinner.. wimp. Afraid to tell me what you like, because you don't know what my reaction is going to be...wimp. I consider myself modern, yet I will let a man take the lead. If he is unsure of himself... He can not take the lead with me.
