The Holidays get me through the winter blues, now the weather here isnt all that bad, hardly no snow, but it is dreary rainy cloudy foggy, that type of climate, I get through it, by doing some of my favorite things, listening to music, reading some books, pampering myself, I even by myself flowers sometimes, those things get my through, and than I look forward to Spring.happy

I like to put a bag off glass pebbles in a dish of water with a dash of plant food and start some bulbs. It is amazing how fast you will see growth for a head start for spring.

We have been having record breaking cold temps. here. minus 23 C today.
So my way of coping is after I have frozen my butt off shovelling ,I go inside and wait for the feeling to come back in my fingers and toes, l then count them to make sure they are all still there.
After that I go downstairs and thank my furnace for doing such a good job lol

I like winter weather. I usually go for walks even in winter as long as it's above 25 degrees F. But here it will be colder than that for the next few days. I have my collection of movies, and some indoor work outs planned.flowerforyou

I like to put the cold coffee in knox gelitan and let it sooth my throat when the cough sets it on fire.

What is winter?laugh

Actually,I moved south, out of the northwest.

Dreary and depressingly rainy and cold.

Can't say I blame you Willing. I loved living in the south and living here in California has it's things to get used to but it is awesome to pretend to have winter than deal with what our hearty fellow Americans deal with in snow up to their Tah tah's. I am getting soft in my old age and got to say as much as I like to visit many of the beautiful variety of places in the USA I like living where I am.

I survived by moving from Michigan to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. I just can't take the cold winters anymore.

I hear that one. That cold stuff is for the birds. I sat out and sunned today for a while.

And your upstate right? I got snowed in at Oneonta with my Porsche 928 once (the one with the front engine, and all that rear end torque) and went no where fast. They all laughed at me, had to walk everywhere. It wouldn't even start to go up any of your hills. I never slid around so much in my life. Took me 3 weeks to get out of there, then I had to go to West Branch Michigan. I was a little dumber then. Well a little. Now I'm in Vegas and finally got the pickup. I'm a little slow in the head wouldn't you say.

I will say New York City in the summer time is awesome. I was there in July in record heats but I still liked it. I would come and freeze my hiney off to see the Macy's or St.Patty's Parade.

Just heard on the news that you're in for more really bad weather in the US, more snowstorms and very cold.

We haven't had much of winter here (yet). I live close to the sea, so it's always a tad warmer here than the rest of the country.
We still got an average of 8 - 10C, sun is shining.

My girly is in Kansas, spoke to her last night, lot of snow there.

Yeah it has been a brutal winter so far. That ice storm we had before Christmas caused a lot of problems. Some people in Toronto are still without power. I was lucky ,mine was only out for 6 hours one day and an hour the next.
To add insult to injury I am watching my Daughter pack her bathing suit and sun tan oil as she is leaving for the Dominican today. You would thing she would take her mama with her wouldn't you? Just kidding about that ,but she sure picked a good week to go.

Well since I'm in Texas we don't see a lot of the winter... We did get some good ice a few weeks ago and that alone shut us down....But when it is cold I tend to stay in read, watch tv and play online.... It does not keep us from going out and going places like the movies or out to eat ect... There are many indoor things you can go and see and do...

Since we don't have to deal with the snow like up North the cold may keep us in but it will not stop us from going places...
