If you just receive a call now from your Family Doctor and says to you that 'You have 7 more days to live'. What will you do with that 7 days?

If you just receive a call now from your Family Doctor and says to you that 'You have 7 more days to live'. What will you do with that 7 days? Get a second opinion. After that who knows? Speculation is a lot different than realizing so can't really say until I was in the situation, but I imagine I would pretty much keep doing the same things I always do. |

I would cash out all my stuff and hop a jet to be with the one who matters.

Curious why you would not do that now?

If you just receive a call now from your Family Doctor and says to you that 'You have 7 more days to live'. What will you do with that 7 days? I would tell him it will take me 2 years to get the money to pay him. See if that improves the prognosis a wee bit. |

I would start off by telling him he must have the wrong number because I haven't been to a doctor for a while because I don't have the money to pay one.
Honestly I think the worst thing a doctor can do sometimes is tell someone they have a certain amount of time to life. Because it take away all hope that person might have of actually living. So if I had actually seen a doc and he gave me that kind of news. I might tell him he has six days to live. |

I have had well meaning doctors try to tell me this sort of news several times across my life when they got into my medical records and I am still here so I doubt I would take it all that serious.
Maybe if I absolutely was convinced I had ONLY a week left I might just have to let it rip a little. I figure I earned it. lol |

I would spend every day with my kids ...tell my family how much I love them. I would not spend one single minute on people I feel have not been genuine with me.
Other than, all of this....there is nothing else because I really have a great life. |

Tough question. I guess do my best to leave as little a burden as possible on my family and then maybe just disappear without telling anyone. So people only wonder what happened to me. I don't want them to be saddened by my passing.
edit-I think though I would have to tell my son of the news and spend most if not all of my remaining time with him. I wouldn't want him to feel abandoned. But I would ask he kept what happened from everyone else. |

Curious why you would not do that now? Simply because I am on dialysis. |
