Could everyone try and respond to there messages please? Even a short simple thanks but no thanks or not interested? It would make this online thing a bit better. Don't ya think?

The reason a lot of people don't reply is because a polite "no thanks" seems to incite the other person. I have told several people "no thanks" and they keep messaging me trying another angle. They don't take no for an answer and seem to think if they are just persistent enough you will eventually buckle.

I almost always respond but I certainly understand why some don't.

This. Or they get angry when they're rejected and lash out. So it's easier to just ignore them.

Nobody has a right to receive replies to unsolicited private messages.

If someone doesn't respond to a PM that I sent, then I don't get upset or feel offended, because my ego isn't bruised.
