It was you all along, wasn't it? You killed him! Darn your silver tongue! I did not do it! He was dead when I got there! The check is in the mail! I swear I won't filch no more apples from old man Higgens orchards! *sobs* And hey, this tongue can work miracles! That is how it became silver in the first place! Are you sure you didn't just accidentally drink from the wrong pool? You could have been gold, y'know? (And thanks for the cheque - much needed!) |

Gold, silver.. it is all in the receiver.
Besides, some are allergic to gold. (no problem... just wait before trying to cash it until I am far enough away. Oh wait... I already am!) |

Ah, there you see? But of course you could make any mineral shine like gold mon chοΏ½ri.
Honestly though I think gold is more a status symbol for many vs. true actual beauty. Thus to me it is not so much odd as it is excess. |

This is where my mind maybe be different from everyone else. Telling,my Co worker "I really like her" is a Forrest Gump move to me :-( you like me...draw on that testosterone and come up to me and say "hello"... I can't even discuss the phone number, O can't get over him sending a representative to say he likes me.

He sounds creepy and immature; sort of like in grade school when someone passed around the little slip of paper with "Do you like me? Check Yes or No" written on it.

Thus to me it is not so much odd as it is excess. This is so true! Gold always seems to look tacky. No idea how it developed such worth. @teebee: that's what got me, teebee. He didn't seem very shy in the minute I spoke to him. He was fairly outspoken. As mentioned earlier (by Fear I think) it may just have been he noticed we were busy and didn't want to get me into trouble or something. But it's not like he'd be missing an opportunity since he knows where I work now. @paintecards: haha. I remember those slips! No boys ever sent them to me though. I remember in primary school someone sent me an anon valentine's card and I spent the whole day trying to work out who'd sent me the card because I wanted to punch him. haha. Maybe this is why I'm single... xD |

Bit of a weird one, cause he likes you, lets you know indirectly, and sure you might have been busy. But now you have to phone/text him?
That's kinda lame. |

The pressure's now on me! :O I guess this is the new wooing? Instead of roses you get a piece of paper with his phone number. Instead of trying to get in a girl's pants, they now try to get in our phones??? |

I guess this is the new wooing? Instead of roses you get a piece of paper with his phone number. Instead of trying to get in a girl's pants, they now try to get in our phones??? He's probably sat there with a group of guy friends talking about how many numbers they gave out and all sat around their phones waiting to see who gets a response first! I can imagine them laughing and slapping each other's backs... throwing money on the table for the "winner". Disgusting. |

That'd be interesting, if he gave out say 5 or 6 numbers in a day, and a few women call him back, how does he know which ones they are? If you do call him, how will he be able to distinguish one from the others? |

If you do call him, how will he be able to distinguish one from the others? Maybe that isn't the point. Maybe that's where he'd be all really mean and say something like "Yeah, right. You think I'd seriously be interested? It was just a game, honey." Cue lots of evil laughter. :( |

That would suck. So what did you do with his number? When my colleague gave it to me, I shoved it in my apron expecting that it would be destroyed by wet cloths and spillages. Turns out it wasn't so I was forced to drop it into the bottom of my Aladdin's Cave of a bag... which is where it probably still is. |

I guess this is the new wooing? Instead of roses you get a piece of paper with his phone number. Instead of trying to get in a girl's pants, they now try to get in our phones??? Didn't you hear? Phones are the new go to for everything in every situation. Instead of signed poem, you get a fumbled heavily abbreviated text message. Ain't love grand? Instead of blooming flowers you get an animated .gif of them doing the fandango. To heck with leaving you an anonymous phone number Lost, I would have taken the time to write something leaving you true to your screen name. The days of class and heartfelt sentiment have been replaced by 4G speed and simplicity. When my colleague gave it to me, I shoved it in my apron expecting that it would be destroyed by wet cloths and spillages. Turns out it wasn't so I was forced to drop it into the bottom of my Aladdin's Cave of a bag... which is where it probably still is.
Have you tried looking for a lamp in there? If you find one I get a wish since I am the one who suggested it. |

To heck with leaving you an anonymous phone number Lost, I would have taken the time to write something leaving you true to your screen name. *Swoon.* Not really a bouquet of flowers kind of girly though. They make me sad as I feel like I've just been given a plant corpse and I'm being forced to watch them decompose. I know flowers die off whilst still attached too, but it feels like a premature end if I'm gifted them once removed from their home. Have you tried looking for a lamp in there? If you find one I get a wish since I am the one who suggested it. I'll be sure to let you know! |

Did you see him? Did you think he was good looking? Would you date him? Maybe the next time he comes in, walk up to him and say something. I think you are witty and you could come up with something good.
Let us know what happens!!! Good Luck..this could be the start of a great romance!! |
