Hi, everyone! I'm new to this site, and to online dating in general. My mom told me about this site, so I figure I'd give it a try. I'm just a little discouraged NY so many scammers. I don't want to waste my time with them. I want to meet real people, especially someone who will help me move on. I'm not a very good widow: I HATE being alone.

Thanks so much. If you gave any pointers on how to deal with them or avoid them, please let me know. The only way I can avoid them is to keep my photos off here. Otherwise, they email, nudge, and send friend requests. They also like to add you to their favorites' list, which I think is creepy. I've also set my mail settings so only people from X miles can email me, that helps alot. However, if you're really trying to meet someone, these tips won't help much. Just ignore them I guess.

Just stick around the forums and you can learn Quick about the negatives. just flip back through some of the scammer threads in chit chat and Gen. Discussion topics and the education is there. I was new to it all this year as well and I made it, I didn't give anyone money and I haven't heard from a scammer in a month. See ya on the boards welcome , Pony |
