Topic: How do I say I love you? | |
---|---|
Have you ever found it hard to say "I love you?"
What do you do when someone looks you in the eye and say I love you, and you just can't say it back, maybe because you just don't feel it "yet" or you just aren't comfortable saying it. What, if anything can you say? |
|
|
|
Don't say it if you don't feel it. That just leads to further deception and problems.
If you do feel it..say "I love you" |
|
|
|
I would look him in the eye and say
Thank you for loving me.... |

gotta agree with BC on this one...
if ya aren't feelin it, don't say it. Only complicates things more. |

Let it come naturally.
If you're forced to say it then don't. Don't feel pressured to. You can't help how you feel at times and if you don't feel "it" then you shoudln't say it just to make someone else happy. |

Well i'm no expert, but make sure you are sure, as was said before, it will create problems down the road.

|
just give it time and see what it becomes

If you say it and you don't mean it, I don'tthink that's fair. You only lead them to believe something that is not true. I wouldn't want someone to say that to me...unless it was true.

It wont be hard to say when you mean it, it will be hard not to say.

I said "I love you," and she said "I'm hungry, let's get something to eat.." (quote from Sienfeld) |

Hmmm... Do you want the X-rated answer or the G-rated one? Actions! Words carry more weight when supported by actions! |

Love is more than verbal...Baygal is right.
Saying it over and over becomes a rote thing...and almost takes the shine off the feeling of loving... When it bubbles up inside you...share it..with a soft look, a sweet hug, a gentle kiss...or simply enjoy the feeling. |

Jesse-san! I love the new pic! |

I agree with Bay

* closes eyes and bows* ahhh.... thankyou Baygal..
I was thinking about this love thing...and how do we know we are loved? How do the words match the actions? I have this basket...of treasures...all the things my kids give me...their love things...I have a squooshed daisy..a bunch of lavender, a wire heart, made from an old piece of tie wire, a gazillion notes...crazy things...a stone from the drive, a peg person, made from an old wooden clothes peg... There's a million ways to say I love you, with out ever uttering a word. |

Hey sweetie......... Always be honest. "To thyself be true".
If someone says they love you and you don't feel lit yet... Just say "thank you for your kind words". I care for you deeply and speak form the heart. Love is not about pressure or being held against your will.... it is about a free and willful decision of the heart and soul. Sometimes... as much as you even don't WANT to love a person.... you can't help it. Love never has to have a reason... it just is. Be thankful that you can feel it and have it. Love is freedom and gives you wings...always. Anything that is hurtful, pressured, or controlling is NOT love. Love is being a blessing in someone's life. Real love is wanting the world for someone... even if you are not the one who is ultimately with them by fate.... just loving the person, letting them be free and who they are. You want only for their happiness.....Real love is selfless.Praying for that person..and their happiness ...even if you never see them again. To have touched upon love be thankful..... because you can carry it with you always. God bless, Angela |
